The Big Fight!

I am talking about my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus!
There is a FIGHT we all are engaged in and no man is exempted from it! No matter the suit we wear, the gown we put on, the bishopric regalia that makes one look ecclesiastical, the truth is “THERE IS A FIGHT WE ALL ARE IN!
Most times we preachers make it look as though we are perfect but the truth is, inside of us remains a fight we are struggling to win.
The biggest FIGHT IS NOT EXTRINSIC BUT INTRISTIC, it is not EXTERNAL but INTERNAL call it masturbation, pornography, fleeing temper, rage and anger, all are internal battle’s and we seek to win.
The Apostle Paul wrote,
“For WE WRESTLE not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,” Ephesians 6:12.
WE WRESTLE, FIGHT and engage in battle…..
Behind the beautiful suit we wear and flowing regalia, the crucifix on our necks, there is a battle – yes, A BIG FIGHT within we are engaged in.
It is such a fight that even the apostle Paul almost lost till God showed him a way through a divine revelation that made him overcome.
“For I delight in the law of God after the inward man, but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Romans 7:22-24.
At every stage in our walk with God, we find that there is something within us that rears it’s ugly head we have to conquer.
To some, it may take a few years to deal with and to others longer. I will be stupid to judge any man’s failure by my victories because our fights are peculiar to each of us..
Sanctification is not an INSTANT experience as SALVATION is. It is a lifelong experience till we SEE HIM FACE TO FACE..
