The Big Deception and the Big Lie!
Deception isn’t anything but a big lie!
When people are angry at you for something that they feel that you have done to them, they will go to any lengths to conspire against you with others to get you back!
And, not only that, but they will conspire against you in order to make you feel like they are for you, when all the time they are plotting to go in for the kill! My God, they developed what you call is a case of loss identity, which is called two-facedness and if you are not careful, they will do almost anything to get you back even going so far as to murdering you!
Remember Dina who had been raped and defiled by Shechem? Her brothers Jacob found out and they played possum for a while and then decided that they would take it upon themselves to play, ‘get back!’ In fact, the man who raped her asked for her hand in marriage, but he was uncircumcised and it was not lawful for Israel to mix and to intermarry with others.
But the sons of Israel (Jacob) tricked them into becoming circumcised in order for them to become family, but the sad thing is that they had no intention of keeping their promises. Their true motives was to kill them for raping Dina their sister, and to seize their inheritances!
So, it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simenon and Levi, Dinah’s brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males. And they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with their edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem’s house, and went out.
The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and spoiled the city, because they had defiled (raped) their sister. They took their sheep, and their oxen, and their asses, and that which was in the city, (everything) and that which was in the field, and all their wealth, and all their little ones, and their wives took they captive, and spoiled even all that was in the house.
My God, the LORD is saying, “Vengeance belongs to him and He will repay!” in fact, one wrong does not make another right! We are living in times which many are stooping to the level of the enemy! But, God is asking, how can you say you are righteous when you take things into your own hands? Jacob’s sons were no better than Shechem who raped their sister!
Shechem raped Dina like a savage beast and then he showed no character or respect for her family by asking for her hand in marriage. He knew that they were from a different culture which left a bad taste in her families mouth! However, Israel (Jacob) was not happy with what his sons had done by deceiving the men and others in the land where they was making peace with their enemy. When in fact their goal was to scheme, trick, steal, and murder the men of all that they had!
And Jacob (Israel) said to Simenon and Levi, ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house. And Jacob’s sons said, should he deal with our sister as with an harlot?
But, they for got that the same thing that they had felt about Dina they was doing unto Shechem’s house; that is going in to rape and to ravage them of all that they had!
My God! The LORD is warning both church and the world that it is time to put away all the foolishness!
Many of us will never get deliverance because we are still living under sin and the law and we are like craw-dads trying to keep someone else from being on top because of hate, jealousy, insecurities and malice!
Whenever you scheme to pull down your sister and or brothers in the church and or nation, don’t you realize that you are no better than them and you are stooping to their level?
God is saying that when you cover one sin, it leads to sin on top of sin! And without laws, we live in a world of chaos and destruction!
Not only that, it makes one to constantly have to look over their shoulders wondering if and when they will be exposed (killed, raped or murdered) and when and if the people they have done wrong is going to place a knife in your back!
You see, if Shechem would have respected Dinah and had asked for her hand in marriage the right way, this would never have taken place. But all because he didn’t, his enemies came up against him.
And if Jacob’s sons would have trusted God to deliver them, they would not have caused a rip in their relationship with their father and others in the land.
But how many know we are no longer living under the law but the spirit? And we should not have to go around wondering when and how someone is going to kill us; especially in the body of Christ!
The Spirit of God is warning us to watch out for the assassination plots and schemes in this hour! Smiling faces tell lies!
The LORD is speaking, “Be not deceived for bad communications corrupt good manners and character! (1 Corinthians 15:33)
“Now it came to pass on the third day, when they were in pain, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword and came boldly upon the city and killed all the males. And they killed Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah from Shechem’s house, and went out. The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and plundered the city, because their sister had been defiled. They took their sheep, their oxen, and their donkeys, what was in the city and what was in the field, and all their wealth. All their little ones and their wives they took captive; and they plundered even all that was in the houses.
Then Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have troubled me by making me obnoxious among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites; and since I am few in number, they will gather themselves together against me and kill me. I shall be destroyed, my household and I.”
But they said, “Should he treat our sister like a harlot?” Genesis 34:25-31.
