The Best Part — We Haven’t Seen It Yet!
If you remember Rotary dial phones, three channels on the television with ‘rabbit ears’, and when ‘we’ the kids, were our parents ‘remote control’ — then you’ll remember learning this in school.
The great classics and literature was taught in that time. Everything made sense somehow, from what we knew.
I’m sure we can recall that unforgettable line from the Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities. Who can forget that opening line that compelled you to want to find out more?
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times….”
That line is what I saw taking place — starting in 2020.
We know a lot more now than we did four years ago, but we still don’t see the whole picture.
We know we’ve lived through (and still are) a really weird movie — Babylon re-visited — American-style!
Most of the Nation, indeed Nations, tried to cope as best they could and make sense of everything being upside down in life — as they knew it.
I don’t have to spell out all that has happened and is even now happening at rapid pace. You see it. Read about it. Hear it. Live it.
Felt like the worst part. Yet If you are found in Him, the worst is temporary.
For followers of Jesus — even strong faithful Christians, it (the worst) was no less painful.
Perhaps more odd, because none of the past things we’ve learned, or past teachings, moves of God, answered all our questions now.
In fact — the trajectory of it all was often mind-numbing, gut wrenching. Everyone I know had questions. Even the Shepherds. We were living by Faith.
Some recovered the last few years with some minor injuries. Faith was challenged, relationships changed, or ended. Everyone not grounded in the Faith that could not be shaken came a little bit unhinged.
Some had big soul wounds that left scars. Some still haven’t recovered fully — as the enemy of their souls tried to take them out.
Whether his Weapon was mandates, overreach, censorship, control, whatever — the Church — each saint, one by one, was tested.
But there’s more testing ahead — so we must be anchored in faith now. Unmoved by what we see.
You see — darkness and loss can be like a sniper’s bullet, quick, sudden with no recourse. That’s how the enemy is — he doesn’t play fair.
But the GREAT news is it doesn’t matter anymore. We have already won through Christ Jesus!
We are already seated with Him in heavenly places. And soon, we will understand that more fully.
Just as the prophets were changed were translated (Enoch, Elijah) had glory shown on their faces (Moses), could travel through time and space — to do God’s supernatural assignments (Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch), our change is up ahead.
The Church today has no idea what God has prepared, for those who love Him. Don’t worry about the airline ticket, train ticket, gas for the automobile, or passport.
Did not God supernaturally feed the Shulamite widow and her son? Provide the wine at the wedding? The outside fish dinner and fresh baked bread — with five loaves and two fishies?
He won’t do less miracles in these endtimes — the Fish will be jumping into the boat — as it was in Galilee. (John 21:1-14)
I guess you could say Peter saw Jesus’ in ‘Bible School of the Galilee’ that day — with a eye-popping show n’ tell.
The Best. He is coming!
God is always merciful. God is always Just. God is a Father — and He always loves, to the point, He allowed His Son to be slain to have our love.
Love can never lose to hate. Love can never lose to actual loss — when it’s God who pays you back, and makes the universal criminal pay the tolls and fees. (Proverbs 6:31, Deuteronomy 32:35, Luke 18:6-7)
God loves His people. What God wants is family. Your family. Mine.
The families in our cities town states countries and even the seven continents. He has planned and built such good residences for us in His Kingdom — it took portions of the prophets words and Jesus’ own will and codicil to lay out the terms of our inheritance (the last Will and Testament of The LORD Jesus — the Book of Revelation.
The Best part is He that endureth, He that overcometh. That’s to those who are still standing in Faith when He returns.
No matter how long this oft-times dystopia, mixed up world we are in now, we must know that though we are renting this space on earth now- our deeded-covenant-contract land is in the heavens.
We are getting out of this joint. We’re flying the coop. Better digs await us.
As that old 70s television sitcom song from The Jeffersons: “we’re moving on up – to the East Side, to that Deluxe Apartment in the sky, yea we’re moving on up – to the East Side, we finally get a piece of the pie”….
Well, good news, your Messiah comes through the Eastern gate and there’s land waiting for you.
You might even get an angel airplane ride to get there — the great heavenly transport. You’re moving on up. You got the whole pie.
Oh, and the new Jerusalem, That descends from the sky over Jerusalem. The scripture bares this out — the dimensions were given to the prophet.
It’s some 2 million square miles, it’s cubic, over 600 stories. That’s the real build back better. (Sorry, couldn’t resist). A whole lot of living quarters.
We will be the millenial-winners — for through His blood, His Word, and loving not our life unto death, our testimony — we will have received the crown of righteousness and life everlasting.
Our land-rights can never be stripped from us. The liar and thief since the days of Creation — the one who was hurled down to earth — will have been thrown in the pit by the Commander in Chief of heaven and earth Himself.
All Fear is gone. Only union. Joy. Isaiah 32. When The king is back — reigning on earth in righteousness — we will all rejoice.
There are times I wonder what it’s going to be like when King Yeshua (Jesus) comes through that Eastern Gate — flanked by the redeemed, those saints in glory who come back with Him — with throngs of His angels.
As he takes His rightful throne in Jerusalem, I wonder if He will be thinking, this was all worth it.
The Cross, the pain, the crucifixion, all for them. All for us. My redeemed are with me now — never to be separated from me.
Think of the billions and billions of answered prayers, promises that His blood secured for mankind.
YES – it was all worth it. “For The joy that was set before Him – He endured the cross”. (Hebrews 12:2)
Postscript
On the Sabbath, Orthodox, Reformed and Conservative Jews have prayers in their prayer book (Siddur) that all point to the coming messiah.
From Zechariah 14 – on Sukkot, or special holy-days – they sing in Hebrew: “On that day we will be one – and His name will be one”.
In the haftarah (prophets portion) that is read or sung). Every Jew, especially now, since another holocaust has hit them.
I can tell you from the unsaved, secular, to religious (goes to Synagogue, keeps the Sabbath and Feasts)…. all of them are curious and wanting their Messiah to come and save them.
This is where we come in. We can ask The LORD Jesus Himself to visit them, reveal Himself, show them Himself, in their own Torah. Holy Spirit come!
The adversary of their souls is on the prowl to soon throw them the deceiver — the Antichrist. But — they are crying out.
Since October 7th massacre, they are crying out. The Antisemitism in the nations, The United Nations, our own college campuses, and in our leaders — we see it playing out.
Jesus, Paul, the prophets, all said this day would come.
When, on that day, when ALL turn against her — and as Jesus said — they say — in utter desperation, surrounded on all sides — “Baruch haba Bashem Adonai” Blessed is He (their Messiah) Who comes in the NAME of The LORD (Adonai).
He comes out of the sky — as He promised He would. Behold — He comes.
Although it will be the worst of times leading up to [Armageddon] — in the world’s system — for those are found in Christ it will be as if we are in Goshen — a supernatural provision — protection. Miracles. Glory.
To get out The Gospel — and bring in this end-time Harvest — Nothing is going to get in God’s way — no one and nothing! His Son will receive His inheritance — The Nations! The best of times.
Messiah comes back, sits on His Throne — and rule of His justice will be peace and righteousness.
Only God can take the worst and make it the best in everything. He saved the best wine for last. The marriage has come.
“Jesus said, ‘the time will come when many will say also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?'” Matthew 25:44

HALLELUJAH AMEN
Oh Elizabeth what a word.
Again I can relate to so very much of what you wrote here. There was some helps that I got out that answered some things for me in the note I shared today. Look at this you spoke. I’m looking at the word ‘cubic’ in it to get more understanding.
“It’s some 2 million square miles, it’s cubic, over 600 stories”…
What a day of rejoicing we shall have when we see Jesus face to face! Also to all fellowship throughout all eternity together. Love and prayers, ❤️ Joyce
