The Battles and the Remedies
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,” Ephesian 6:12.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things,” Philippians 4:8.
Just recently someone had asked me for some insight into a situation that they were facing that involved spiritual warfare and other things that were occurring in their life.
She has a prophetic calling, but is still immature regarding a deep understanding of how their personal life is walked out daily.
Those who are involved in prophetic ministry are also intrinsically waging spiritual warfare.
However, I believe that some of this warfare is due to our mindsets. Certainly our mind is a battlefield and this is where the real battles are fought.
It is also very true that we battle not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in high places.
But, if we are continually thinking that everything we do during the day and everyone we meet causes us to rise-up to do battle, then perhaps we aren’t meditating upon the Word of God and His promises to us.
We are told in Psalms 1:3 that:
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
I actually think that sometimes we over-spiritualize some things in our lives. There are sometimes logical answers to the very problems that we face, and we don’t have to necessarily pray against this spirit or that one to gain victory.
We are given a road map and solutions to the problems that we face in this life in the pages of the Word of God. And many of these solutions are actually simpler than many might think.
There are certainly many things that are evil and troublesome in the world around us.
Certainly it is true that darkness is spreading its evil cloak across the world, but we still have the same promises that are guaranteed to us, and they haven’t diminished in any way.
His light is still a bright force that shines in the darkness and the darkness has never understood it.
Here is the short word I sent to this person below:
“You are involved in a spiritual battle because of your calling in Me. But much of this is because of your own choices.
You must devote more of your time to prayer and reading the word.
Learn to recognize My Voice above all others. Learn to discern what is true, what is lovely, what is of a good report, and what is to be treasured.
If you do these things, then you will be victorious in your walk with Me.”

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Thank you for this because this is true. We need a lot of ongoing training in the area of spiritual warfare. Plus, as we grow there different levels of demonic forces. The Word of God will prepare and dress us for these levels. But most important is that we must recognize our limitations and seek higher counseling or mature counseling as we grow. Blessings to you
Amen!

The logical answer is that exactly everything, every thought and every word is spirit therefore one rather under -spiritualize things than the opposite.
The real ‘spiritual fight’ is not fought by ‘praying against’ this or that spirit, the fight is ONLY fought by standing complete still (in the own mind) in obedience to the commandments.
The only ‘prayer’ one therefore shall pray during an attack is that one self will stand against the enemys main goal which is to lure one out of God’s covenant.
“I am the Almighty God, walk before me, and be thou perfect (in obedience to My commandments, no matter circumstances),and (then) I will make my covenant between me and thee.Gen 17:1
