The Battle Paradigms of the Kingdom
We must understand that there are different battle paradigms in The Kingdom.
For so long we have taught and been taught how to wield the sword and constantly shoot arrows at the enemy — taking the striking position.
Yet; there is an extremely significant battle paradigm that many experience on a daily basis; one where the enemy seems to be allowed to take so many shots that it feels like there’s defeat after defeat.
The LORD in teaching how to be victorious when we are faced in this situation said; we should turn the other cheek when the enemy strikes; to do good to them that hurt you; and by doing so; we heap coals of fire on the head of the trespasser.
“But I say unto you, “That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.”‘ Matthew 5:39-40.
“If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and The LORD shall reward thee”. Proverbs 25:21.
Why is this so; there usually is a number of attempts in a time cycle the enemy may be granted to attack; as it was with Job, Peter, Jacob.
Within this time cycle; the enemy may be allowed to defraud one a number of times; or take a hit at one a number of times.
The Scriptures write about Laban and Jacob; how that Laban changed Jacobs wages ten times.
“And said unto them, I see your father’s countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me. And ye know that with all my power I have served your father. And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.” Genesis 31:5-7.
Concerning The Israelites that left Egypt; The Scriptures reveals that they murmured against The LORD ten times.
“Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it.” Numbers 14:22-23.
Imagine that! T en times Laban was permitted to take a hit at Jacob; before a decision was made in heaven and an Angel of The LORD appeared to Jacob and gave him wisdom on how to recover all.
“Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.” Genesis 31:9.
Ten times, a murmuring spirit was permitted to take a hit at The Israelites; ten times they murmured; and a decision was made and that generation did not advance into the promise land.
Jacob in turning the other cheek heaped up coals of fire on Laban’s head; and at the end of the trial; the principle of a sevenfold recompense automatically came into effect.
“And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled. And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I. And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.” Genesis 31:10-12.
Many times the battle paradigm we are dealing with isn’t one where we are in a striking position.
To stand against an ancient stronghold that has a record of having defeated many before you; you must discern the battle paradigm in play — you may emerge on the scene with your quiver full of arrows; or you may be sent into a territory where the enemy will dare to shoot several shots at you.
In those moments; the fastest path to victory is the one that heaps coals of fire on the head of the wicked; so that the cup of iniquity will be full; while through the moment of trial; you will be required to obtain a testimony of character that bears a witness for you in the season when justice will be rendered.
For when the cup of iniquity be full; a season of judgment is triggered and decisions made in Heaven’s Court that brings recompense.
“Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; but if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house,” Proverbs 6:30-31.
The Children of Israel were walking through to contend against a stronghold of rebellion and murmuring spirit; the murmuring spirit was to take hits at them; their response in obedience would have yielded a testimony of obedience needed to bring recompense; however their yielding to the murmuring spirit became a testimony against them.
Jacob in the house of Laban was hit ten times; each time he was hit by the cheater; he obtained a testimony of patience; not cheating in return; but serving wholeheartedly.
In doing so, he turned the other cheek and allowed himself to be defrauded — until the cup of iniquity of the cheater was full; a season of justice came and a recompense determined in The Courts of Heaven.
Many of us will face different battle paradigms — for some, we will walk into battlegrounds with our quivers full of arrows.
In another battleground; we may have to weather the storms taking a number of hits from the enemy; as Heaven watches to see how we obtain a testimony of righteous character necessary to render justice in our favor.
This is why The LORD JESUS CHRIST stood and permitted all accusations to be hurled against him; stood before Pilate; yet didn’t speak a word in his defense; received the punishment for accusations; taken all the hits from the enemy, hastening the filling up of the cup of iniquity — so he can overturn this and tear down the stronghold of the enemy.
There is a time when victory comes by having our quiver full of arrows; there is also a time victory is determined by the sustained posture in righteousness after having endured the hit of several arrows in the battlegrounds of The Kingdom.
In revealing these paradigms, The Apostle Paul who bear a testimony of having fought in significant battlegrounds for the Kingdom wrote,
“For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought The LORD thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:6-9.
So whether you have your quiver full of arrows; or you are enduring a buffeting from the arrows of the wicked; your understanding of the battle paradigms will bring you the victory you have been sent to obtain for The Kingdom Of The LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Abel, I found this quote of Spurgeon’s in David Guzik’s Commentary in reference to Is 53:3 and (Jesus) being a Man of sorrows. I immediately thought of your above word.
“sorrows of all kinds and degrees assailed him. Affliction emptied his quiver upon him, making his heart the target for all conceivable woes.” (Spurgeon)
Christ Is our Example! This opened up your teaching to me even more. Thanks again for your Faithfulness.
Oh I am so so happy!
Such a quote!
This is a revelation from The Lord. This is Divine Warfare Discernment and Strategy I have not seen before. Just minutes before I read this I had asked The Lord for His Extra Help regarding a “battle” I have been/am engaged in. To be Forewarned is to be Forearmed!! This Divine Insite has given me a much different Perspective into what I’m engaged in.
Because of you Abel, and your pleasing sacrifice to God, I am now ABLE:
1Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are ABLE, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be ABLE to endure it.
God Bless you and Keep you!
I am so so honored to have published this. Glad it speaks to you
