The Battle for Your Soul
I have a timely message for many of you, and I feel that it’s a word of urgency that I need to share.
I had another word prepared, but The Holy Spirit is leading me in a totally different direction.
There’s an anticipation in the atmosphere, and everyone senses that something is about to happen.
To some it’s a sense of excitement, and to others it’s a sense of fear.
Only those who are spiritually discerning recognize that it’s the birth pains that Jesus spoke about in The Book of Matthew.
I’m using the title “The Battle for Your Soul” as a metaphor of two conflicting forces in The Spirit Realm, and every one of us encounters each of them daily.
They are the powers of darkness, and the power of light. It’s the struggle between good and evil. Every one of us faces a daily battle with fear, doubt and negativity, which tries to dominate our thoughts and destroy our lives.
But some of us reject these thoughts and won’t allow them to take root.
The LORD is showing me that many of you are carrying a spirit of grief. It may stem from the loss of a loved one, or a loss of someone significant in your life.
It may be the loss of a relationship or even the loss of something material. The spirit of grief will weigh on you if it’s not dealt with properly.
A spirit of grief feeds on sadness, it makes it difficult to move on from painful experiences. It brings feelings of hopelessness and it drains your joy and energy.
Then there are those of you who are oppressed by a spirit of fear. It may have come from a past accident or trauma. You are having restless nights, and unable to sleep.
The LORD has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Some of you have phobias that may have come from generational patterns.
You are not able to let go of a traumatic events from your childhood. The LORD has not forgotten you. He wants to set you free today.
Jesus wants to deliver you from this feeling of despair, and release you from these whirlwinds of adversity.
Those who don’t know Him are living a defeated life. The LORD desires to empower you to become strong and courageous.
He wants you to rise up and claim your authority as you put your trust in Jesus, the mighty Lion of Judah.
When you learn to put your trust in Him, you’ll discover the strength to overcome every fear and doubt.
The LORD is showing me that there are many people with troubled hearts. Some are full of confusion, and some are even angry at God.
There are some of you who have been offended which is causing bitterness and unforgiveness.
The source of your dilemma is not from God but from the enemy. He is trying to steal, kill and destroy the plans and purposes that God has for your life.
The enemies aim is not at you personally, but he is trying to prevent you from advancing The Kingdom of God.
His target is not your worth or identity, but your purpose and impact. Your enemies are not flesh and blood, they are spiritual forces of darkness that seek to undermine God’s Plans and purposes.
The Spirit Realm is real. You don’t have to be held captive any longer when you know Your identity in Christ.
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1.
“The Spirit of The LORD God is upon Me, Because The LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of The LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of The LORD, that He may be glorified.
And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations. Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, And the sons of the foreigner Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. But you shall be named the priests of The LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, And in their glory you shall boast. Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.” Isaiah 61:1-7.
