The Apostle Paul’s Cry
In Scripture, we hear the Great Apostle who was working tireless to bring the Lost to Christ, and to minister to the Gentiles.
His cry is one that I have understood, having been in found in the same shoes at times past in my ministry for The LORD.
Hear him cry…
“For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:10-11
The sad fact was that Demas had been taken out of service for the king, because he……. loved the present world and had left his Ministry post.
That is right, he left off serving The LORD because he loved the world [sin and self] more then he loved The LORD and served The LORD.
I myself have known the terrible fact that some departed having loved this world more……….
It is heartbreaking to say the least — but sadly true — that many love the world more then they love The LORD and they cannot serve The LORD — even the winning of the lost — without god in this world, because of their love of sin.
The crying need of today is finding people who love The LORD and will serve Him faithfully, and in doing so, have left off their own needs and cares of this world to do so.
Do you love Jesus more then the world?
Will you depart too?
Think about it! Examine your heart. What matters most to you?

So true, my Bro. Ken.
It is so sad, that many do walk away! They want and serve the world. So many are shirkers and not true labourers in the Kingdom of God.
Thank you for your bold stand for the gospel, sir. Hope many of us reading will dig in deep and not let nothing detour us! My hearts desire is to be faithful until the end.
God bless you.
