What do I see?

I see a field of Wheat standing tall, waving gently in the breeze, waiting to be harvested.

In the distance I see workers, each with his sickle, working away harvesting the Wheat.

Than I notice that as each worker harvests enough for a stook of wheat, he takes his stook and places it in a hiding place, away from everyone else’s harvest.

Yes, each harvester is gathering his own harvest saying, “That’s mine, another one for me.”

The Harvest Master cannot understand why so little harvest appears to be brought into the barns! He calls for more harvesters to be brought in — but work is still slow.

Suddenly a shout goes up.”Thieves about! Everyone to his harvest.”

But it’s too late, because each of them was gathering alone, no-one guarded The Harvest, no-one separated wheat from chaff, no-one ground the wheat into flour, no-one made the bread.

The harvest was lost — and all the harvesters blamed each other!

Then I saw the Harvest Master call them all together. “You didn’t bring your harvest to me.

I could not guard it for you, I couldn’t separate it, grind it, turn it into bread.

Now, you have wasted your harvest. Let us start over.

Bring your harvest to me and I will guard it, I will turn it into bread, and I will distribute it to you as each has need.”

Unity is the only way forward to harvest.

Let us heed the warning.
