I have always been afraid of spiders, to the degree that I have done a few Patty Duke Dances when encountering one. Well, last night was no different.

I was coming back from the kitchen when suddenly, I saw the evil looking thing, not just running toward me, but jumping! Yesssss, a spider that jumps! Then to top it off, I turned around to go get my shoe to smash him to smithereens when he or she (I have never wanted to get close enough to tell) turned around also and jumped his way back to my chair and ran under it! “How could I ever go back to my chair?” I thought, If I did, I would probably get bitten… and, we all know that spiders have huge fangs and poison in the fangs, right?

Well, after a long while of wanting to post and not being able to post, because the spider was probably guarding the chair, to keep me from accomplishing my goal of posting my word from the Lord. (I knew that demons were patient!) I decided to sit down very gingerly in the chair and just sit on the edge and type from the side of my chair, (mighty warrior that I am) and, if I got bit, I got bit! I would just die a martyr and that was it! I did have a friend that I was chatting with on message before this all happened (You know who you are!) and wrote to them, that I was being viciously attacked by this spider that the enemy had sent but to my surprise they stopped talking to me! I found out today that, right at the moment of the attack, that the devil or God one, had put my friend to sleep!

Well, braving the chair and the spider, I looked up at the spider in question. Yes, I googled my enemy! To my surprise, it said that this kind of spider rarely bit humans and if they did, they would not really even hurt you! Whewww, what a relief! So I am saying all of that, to say this….. When our enemy seems to appear in our life and look very scary, we must have knowledge from the word of God in us that will overcome any fear that we may face! The sting has been taken out of Satan and his cohorts no matter how big or ugly he might appear to be!

The enemy has one weapon and that is fear! Fear, will leave you paralyzed! Fear will stop you from getting to your assignment! Fear will cause you to do things in the natural that will slow down the process of your advancement in the Lord!

The word of God says, that the enemy goes about as a roaring lion, but I am here to tell you that “Our God is The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah!” and He has prevailed! He has taken the venom out of the serpent, and the sting out of death, and no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper! Now with this knowledge, it is time to get up and go back to your chair and write!!

“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants,” Hebrews 2:14-16 (NIV).

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil,” 1 John 3:8 (CEB).

“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” 1 Corinthians 15:55.
