Take Your Seat With God And Take From His Table
One of the fondest memories of my growing up is that of our family at dinner time.
It was with joy. The food was delicious, and my mother and our senior sister showed much love and care in serving us.
My late father had old time presence of authority and wisdom. Papa, as we called him, had humour that got us all erupting with laughter.
Yet, as believers, no matter our family experience (fond or foul), we have been called to The Eternal Family experience of joy unspeakable and full of glory with, “The Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, from Whom the whole Family in Heaven and earth is named,” (Ephesians 3:14-15).
The promise is sure, certain and settled:
“God, who is rich in mercy, because of His GREAT LOVE with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, AND MADE US SIT TOGETHER in The Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus,” Ephesians 2:4-6 emphasis added.
God Almighty has made us sit together with Him!
But the offer must be taken. We must daily take our seat with God so as to enjoy from His Table. This we do through Jesus, this we do by The Blood of Jesus:
“For through Him we both have access by One Spirit to The Father,” Ephesians 2:18.
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter The Holiest by The Blood of Jesus, by a New and Living Way which He consecrated for us, through The Veil, that is, His Flesh, and having a High Priest over The House of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful,” Hebrews 10:19-23.
Imagine having an always-access to Queen Elizabeth II; yet she is a mortal, and whose reign has an end. How much more having the always-access “to The King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible to God Who Alone Is Wise”?
How much more having the always-access to “The Blessed and ONLY Sovereign, The King of kings and LORD of lords, Who Alone Has Immortality”? (1 Timothy 1:17; 6:15-16).
By The Grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, I have worked in various industries, including broadcasting, etc.
Sixteen years ago, during my journalism career, I was invited as one of London-based international correspondents (accredited by the United Kingdom’s foreign affairs ministry) to Buckingham Palace for an “off-the-record” and “off-camera” briefing about “the Queen’s Autumn programme,” followed by a tour of the palace’s State Rooms. (The State Rooms are where the Queen hosts and entertains guests during state visits and other grand occasions).
During the tour, of immense marvel to me were the grand and ornate décor of elegant dated English and French furniture, the breath-takingly beautiful huge chandeliers, the feet-comforting carpets, etc.
Just stepping where the Queen and other members of the royal family gather, looking at where those lavish state banquets are held, viewing Rembrandt, Van Dyck and other exclusive paintings from the royal collection, and so on, induced reverential awe and courtesy in one’s frame.
How much more reverential awe should we manifest going into God’s Holy Rooms, “having boldness to enter The Holiest by The Blood of Jesus”?! (Hebrews 10:19).
Our unprecedented, privileged access to God must be endlessly cherished and thoroughly taken with reverence and Godly fear.
The fathers did not have it so good. The high priest entered The Holy of Holies (the earhly copy of the true) ONCE a year.
But we, because of The Sacrifice of Christ, because of The PRECIOUS Blood of Christ, have The Holy Door flung open to us (1 John 4:1) to ALWAYS enter The Holiest ITSELF in Heaven, by faith.
We must enter and not come out!
So, how do we enter and take our seat with God?
- With thanksgiving and praise. We enter His Gates with thanksgiving and His Courts with praise, (Psalm 100:4).
Be thankful to Him and bless His Name. Sing to The LORD; He enjoys our singing. Your voice?
It is perfect in His Ears anyhow, but with decorum and self-control.It is for His enjoyment, and not for our entertainment. When The Holy Spirit is raising a song in your spirit, sing it to The LORD; Love worshipping The LORD, take pleasure in praising our God, The ONLY True God. Make it a daily commitment of ministering to The LORD as Paul and the other brethren did.
The Holy Spirit moves mightily in those moments, sending one out into one’s destiny, (Acts 13:1-6).
- Repent always. Repent from sin, known and unknown. Break free from all sin by The Blood of Jesus Christ. Don’t practice sin. Without holiness no one will see The LORD. Repent and be washed in The Blood of Jesus to approach The Holy God;
- Study The Word of God to be thoroughly equipped; obtain revelations for obedience, for inheritance, for warfare, (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Ephesians 6:12-18);
- Continue earnestly in prayer, (Colossians 4:2). Ask for utterance of The Holy Spirit in prayer, (Acts 2:4; 10:46). Talk to The LORD about anything and everything. He delights in every detail of our lives, (Psalm 37:23 NLT);
- Speak in tongues a lot. (Although the immediately preceding point is about prayer, which includes speaking in tongues, it is of special note of importance to treat it separately here).
Even in public situations, at the workplace, and elsewhere with people, you can speak in tongues under your breath for Divine power, revelation and direction;When we speak in tongues, we speak mysteries to God, (1 Corinthians 14:2).
Demons can’t access and intercept them. Furthermore, speaking in tongues is perfect prayer, being by The Holy Spirit according to The Will of God, (Romans 8:26-27).
Additionally, speaking in tongues releases The Power of God tremendously against the power of darkness.
- Make declarations and decrees with The Word, all the while depending on The Holy Spirit for utterance. Our declarations and decrees are executive orders as well as Divine Judicial Orders in the spiritual realm, (Psalm 149:6-9; Job 22:28. We EXECUTE The Written Judgment of God The Judge of All).
All Jesus had to do was to repeatedly say “It is written”, and then declared what is written. And the devil left Him. Do likewise and the devil WILL leave you. It is a daily battle to fight and win by The Word of God. ONLY The Word works in this world. Use The Word of God always; nothing else.
- Plead The Blood of Jesus. This is The GREATEST Treasure in Christ, yet most believers neglect The Blood! Pleading The Blood of Jesus is dialing for immediate emergency assistance and intervention from Heaven by The Father.
The Blood of Jesus gets God’s privileged attention to us without fail. Angels are dispatched swiftly, The Power of God is released mightily, The Favour of God is fast received when you plead The Blood of Jesus.
The Blood of Jesus Christ solves every problem! Pleading The Blood of Jesus gets the devil and his evil lot to flee. We easily overcome him by The Blood of The Lamb and The Word of our Testimony — The Word of The Cross, The Testimony of Jesus.Beloved, plead The Blood whenever, wherever.
Depend entirely on The PRECIOUS Blood of Christ.
A few years ago, during the most adversely PAINFUL affliction of our life, I had to make an emergency booking for a short stay through a third party booking website. We had been doing a lot of things online, including research directed by The LORD.
My wife therefore preferred a different facility, because the one I booked didn’t have Wi-Fi internet connection when we stayed a few days earlier. Reluctantly, I changed the booking to Europa Gatwick Hotel near London Gatwick Airport, owned and managed by Britannia Hotels.
Upon our arrival, by spiritual discernment, we noticed demonic signs and symbols disguised as design and décor — at the entrance, in the floor of the lobby, as overhead hangings in the lobby, etc. (My wife had seen the one at the entrance but I didn’t).
Yet there were business type guests flocking in from all over the world, many of whom appeared to be regular guests. It seemed a favourite place, being a few minutes’ drive from the airport.
Many were eating with relish and mirth at a dining area on a mezzanine floor overlooking the lobby. Very warily, we registered and got keys to our room. Brethren, it was dusty and disgusting. We requested a room change immediately.
The new room was no better; it was also unpleasant, and had vulgar, erotic paintings on the walls. What have we gotten into!
There was no way we could stay. I called the reception desk and asked to speak to the manager. I told him about the filth and the un-Godly paintings, and asked for refund. He was like a stone wall being spoken to.
And then he told me officiously with a legalese tone of voice to request the refund from the third party booking site.
By now, the booking site, operating from The Netherlands or so, had closed. The hundreds of pounds sterling we paid was ebbing away. I needed to do something fast to salvage our money. For, having registered, we would have been deemed to have stayed if we had left without the refund processed that evening.
Although it was my wife’s doing that got us into this entanglement of a trouble, with spiritual understanding, I took responsibility for it as the head, and repented to The LORD.
In unity, we prayed for His mercy and intervention. And then we kept pleading The Blood of Jesus and speaking in tongues for Divine intervention in the matter.
Within a very short while, the phone in the room rang. It was the manager on the line.
“Please come down to the reception and I’ll process the refund for you,” he said to our wide-eyed surprise and delight. We hurried through the maze of uncomely corridors to the nearest lift.
Woe! The queue was near-endless! Even more guests had arrived since we went upstairs, and more are still arriving.
We joined the queue and kept on pleading The Blood of Jesus as well as speaking in tongues. (In spiritual warfare, you never stop firing until the battle is ended).
The very long queue to the reception counter eventually got to our turn. We asked for the manager; (he was in an adjoining office).
“Your payment has been refunded to your card. You will see it reflected in your account in three working days…”
With that well-used line in customer service, the manager did what he had said he could not do. The same man who said no, now said yes and refunded our money because God intervened when we pleased The Blood of Jesus Christ His Son.
Pleading The Blood of Jesus does Divine wonders in any situation. Even if you get something wrong, just repent genuinely and plead The Blood, and The LORD Jesus Christ WILL SURELY deliver you.
A note to note:
I mentioned the Britannia Hotels above so that you steer clear of their facilities. (They are in various parts of Great Britain).
My wife’s subsequent research that evening brought up some things of darkness about the company and the owner.
Although, I can’t write those details now, I urge you to look at the devil’s pitchfork in the company’s logo here as well as read the information thereof. At the time of this writing, I found this news report which confirms what we experienced.
Now, as an additional testimony, I called the hotel where I had made the original reservation, and returned there as they still had room availability. Lo and behold, they had installed a Wi-Fi internet connection and was up and running that very day!
- By faith, apply The Blood of Jesus with your mouth to your household day and night. Immerse and submerge you and yours: everyone and everything that concerns you in The Blood of Jesus Christ always.
The Blood is our Divine Stronghold of safety, protection and provision in this increasingly evil and turbulent world.Just simply pray: “In Jesus’ Name, by faith, I apply The Blood of Jesus to my household.
I immerse and submerge me and my household, everyone and everything that concerns me in The Blood of Jesus Christ to protect and preserve us, and provide for us according to God’s Word.
THANK You, Father, for The PRECIOUS Blood of Jesus Christ Your Son. Amen.”
- Take The Communion often. We do it in our household after supper, as Jesus did with the twelve.
The Communion is the spiritually physical affirmation of eating from The Table of The LORD. We receive Divine Nourishment and Satisfaction from partaking of The Bread and The Cup of The LORD.
In taking The Communion, we proclaim The LORD’s Death for our deliverance and the destruction of the devil.
- Meditate on The Word of God, and obey The Word for good success, (Joshua 1:8). There is good success, and there is bad success.
The former is by The Word, the latter is by the world. The former ends in Eternal Life, the latter ends in eternal death.
Occupy your mind with The Word rather than cares and worries, deceitfulness of riches and pleasures of life. Meditate on The Things of God and you’ll have peace, (Philippians 4:6-8).
God is Light; His Word brings His Light. The entrance of His Word brings Light and gives understanding for good success, (Psalm 119:130).
- Stay your mind on The LORD, (Isaiah 26:3); meditate on His ALL-POWERFUL Name and His PRECIOUS Blood.
When you think on Jesus, His Name, His Blood, demons flee, demons fear to attack your mind. God is Light. Jesus is God, (Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:8; 2 Peter 1:1; Romans 9:5).
Jesus is The Brightness of God’s Glory, (Hebrews 1:3). Jesus is Light. Jesus is POWER! When you engage Him in your mind darkness has to flee!When Jesus The GREAT Light HIT Saul (Paul), he fell to the ground, “trembling and astonished” (Acts 9; 22; 26); he and his murder squad fell down, stopped right in their tracks.
Switch JESUS on in your mind and life, and the devil, that murderer from the beginning (John 8:44), will be fiercely knocked down and out.
- Seek The Things of Heaven, set your mind on Heavenly things, (Colossians 3:1-3);
- Ask The LORD Jesus to teach you everything, even that which you already know, for He is our dear LORD and Teacher and knows best.
Pray to be enriched by Him in everything: in all utterance and all knowledge, (Matthew 23:8; John 13:14; 1 Corinthians 1:5).
If one can attend University of Oxford, Harvard University, etc. and be taught by professors to become an expert, then much more, The LORD Jesus Christ Who created all things and knows all things, can certainly teach us all things over and above what man can teach.
Jesus is Wisdom and has all wisdom for us, (1 Corinthians 1:24; Colossians 2:2, 3)
“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things…..
…. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him,” 1 John 2:20,27.
- Let your requests be made known to God, He will supply your need, (Philippians 4:6,7,19; Matthew 7:7-11);
- Give ALL attention to The LORD no matter where you are and what you are doing, (Habakkuk 2:1).
Many think about their grocery shopping during work, why should it be strange to think on The LORD during work?
- Live every moment “walking in The Fear of The LORD and in The Comfort (Help) of The Holy Spirit, and be multiplied, (Acts 9:31);
- Fast often, (2 Corinthians 11:27; Acts 13:2-3;14:23). When we fast and pray, we receive fresh anointing, endued with POWER from on High.
The times we are in, and the most turbulent times ahead, require fervent fasting and prayer to sail through.
This is the final round of the fight, this is the final lap of the race. Let’s do everything to obtain the prize.
- Avoid distractions. Mobile phones and other devices are being highjacked by the devil for his devices (schemes).
Would you have the phone ringing, and would you answer the phone or be engrossed in social media when in the presence of the prime minister or the president?
No, you won’t. But many believers do such things in The Presence of The Blessed and Only Sovereign!We must highly hallow and honour The LORD always.
(Please read Leviticus 16:1-2 again). The LORD gives attention those who hallow Him.
My beloved brethren, our Salvation, our seat with God in Christ Jesus is SO PRECIOUS that the prophets inquired and searched for it carefully; even angels desire to understand it.
It is the seat to seek. It is the seat to take. Brethren, it is the ONLY seat in the universe to invest in. It is the seat of Eternal Life.Aaron was the very first high priest appointed by God among men, yet God did not permit him to approach Him anytime.
But we do — by The Blood of Jesus! Glory to God!
“Now The LORD spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered profane fire before The LORD, and died; and The LORD said to Moses: “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into The Holy Place inside the veil, before The Mercy Seat which is on The Ark, lest he die; for I will appear in The Cloud above the mercy seat,” Leviticus 16:1-2.
Finally, God’s Promises must not be presumed, or assumed. They must be confessed to be consumed. (To confess is to say in agreement). Confession is made unto Salvation, (Romans 10:9, 10).
Salvation includes better things, things that accompany Salvation, (Hebrews 6:9). You see, there are two Greek words translated as Salvation in The New Testament: Soterion (liberation, rescue, deliverance, prosperity, etc.) and Soteria (prosperity, healing, restoration, general well-being, etc).
Also, sozo is another Greek word of interest, translated “saved”. Thus when we are sozo (saved), we receive Soterion (liberation, rescue, deliverance, prosperity, etc.) together with Soteria (prosperity, healing, restoration, general well-being, etc).
We receive Salvation and better things, yes, things that accompany Salvation, (Hebrews 6:9).
Salvation is the inexhaustible, ALL-inclusive package of Divine Goodness to mankind. You must believe and speak Salvation.
“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,” 2 Corinthians 4:13.
We believe and confess to receive Soterion which is Salvation from sin and eternal death, we must likewise believe and confess Soteria (prosperity, healing, restoration, general well-being, etc) to receive it as part of The Jesus Package we are entitled to as children of God.
This is why 3 John 2 says,
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” John 1:2.
Beloved, take your seat with God Almighty, and obtain your endless portion from His Table.
“And I bestow upon you a Kingdom, just as My Father bestowed One upon Me, that you may eat and drink at My Table in My Kingdom…” Luke 22:29-30.
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.” Psalms 23:5.
ASK: Ask, Seek, Knock.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:7-11.
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.

As John was, Jacob is the disciple whom JESUS loves, (John 13:23;19:26; 20:2; 21:7,20). And like Paul, Jacob is “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
“And having been perfected, He became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.

Special thanks for sharing your hotel stay experience … I have similar experience lately, realizing certain things around me are demonic, while everyone else thinks is OK. That makes me wander if I am over sensitive, and some comment that I am over religious. There is a lot for me to learn in this article, will read it again and again. Looking forward to read more of your writings.
