Take Each Step Forward Without Fear!
“Take each step forward without fear, not looking to the past!”
This simple phrase is what The LORD told me just a few days ago.
Somehow, these Words drove home more to me than anything recently.
Somehow, it can be very easy to fall into the doomsday mentality, especially when everything around us appears to be crumbling.
Certainly, one would have to be living under a rock to not note all of the recent developments that have been occurring on the world stage.
But here’s the thing: even as the world around us is in a state of upheaval and even decay, we are not to be wasting away.
Yes, our mortal bodies are aging and changing, but on the inside we must keep walking, and moving forward.
To me it is the drum-beat of strength and possibilities. I especially, can tend to be somewhat pessimistic at times, given my prophetic outlook and perception.
This race that we are involved in now, is most certainly is not a sprint. We have to pace ourselves each day to look at the finish line, but also to consider what types of things may be weighing us down in the moment.
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” Hebrews 12:1
And if we consider the thought of going forward each day without fear, and leaving everything else behind us, then we are on the road to better things.
Our outward appearance is probably changing, as each year the image that we see and show to the world, is aging. But inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day,” 2 Corinthians 4:16
There are always set-backs along the way; we can expect this, that’s just the way that life is.
We are certainly slowed down by our trials and the obstacles that life throws at us, but after each set-back, we need to pick up our feet, wipe off the dust, and begin our journey again.
We don’t know what the final image will look like, but we do know that when we see Him, that we will be “like Him.
Selah,
