Swimming Upstream?
The LORD says today, “Where oh man is your joy? Have I not given you everything, all the desires of your heart?
Yet, you are not satisfied with My love. What more could you want?
Purpose in your heart to be obedient and the joy will follow.
Come to Me and see all I have for you, yet you stay away… WHY DO YOU STAY AWAY?
I love you so, I weep for you. You are wasting your life on worthless things, saddened in life because you do not get your way.
Who am I, am I your slave? NO! I AM YOUR GOD!
Hearken to what I tell you, take it to heart. Repent, turn away from sin and turn to Me.
Do right. My ways are not your ways, My thoughts are not yours, they are higher.
I can see the beginning from the end. Don’t you know I care about you?
Your every move is important to Me. You must trust Me, and I will bring it to pass.”
Jesus.
“Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God” [for temptation does not originate from God, but from our own flaws]; for God cannot be tempted by [what is] evil, and He Himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted when he is dragged away, enticed and baited [to commit sin] by his own [worldly] desire (lust, passion). Then when the illicit desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin has run its course, it gives birth to death. Do not be misled, my beloved brothers and sisters. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow [a]cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes],” James 1:12-17 (AMP).
The LORD God Almighty is an awesome God, and He only gives good and perfect gifts.
God does not tempt, the devil tempts, and when we open ourselves up to his voice we are drawn away to sin, and sin, when it is conceived and is full-grown, brings forth death.
Sin always leads to death. We have to see sin for what it is, opposition to God.
We can reconcile all we want to in our mind and heart that what we are doing is right, but God is not mocked.
I asked myself, why don’t the children of God who have erred not come to repentance?
What is holding you back today from coming clean with God?
The Bible says if we are not for Him we are against Him, and that’s a set up for failure. God is not going to change, He is always right, and He’s not a liar.
Ever tried swimming in a river going upstream against the current?
Yes, I believe you will be able to go a little ways, but I guarantee your not going to get very far.
What kind of a man would do that anyway? I assure you he’s got a thought in his mind that, by golly, no matter what anyone says, he’s going to show the world that it can be done, and that will show everyone he is right. Unbelievable!
I have had thoughts in my mind in the past that were good thoughts but my attitude was all wrong.
Yes, I stood my ground in anger, pride, and rebellion trying to prove that my way was right.
I set myself up for failure. Only God’s way works friends, if you are in this place repent and agree with God, for you could be standing on the precipice ready to fall flat.
Pride comes before destruction, and you cannot fight against God and win.
See it for what it is, it’s sin, and fall on your knees right now and ask for His forgiveness, that times of refreshing will come upon you.
Talk to God about the things on your heart and why you feel as you do. God loves you, let God help you come out of the darkness and back into the light.
He is waiting and ready to lift you out of the pit you have dug for yourself.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the best of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken,” Isaiah 1:18-20 (AMP).
God Bless You, you are in my prayers
