“Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’ So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen,” Matthew 20:15-16 (NKJV).

My Trying Teens

My teen years began with very low self esteem and I didn’t think I was as smart, pretty, or prosperous as other teens.

Once while in the 7th grade, they had cheerleader tryouts. In those days you had to tryout before the whole school, then the kids would vote, and there were only four girls that would win.

It was a very humbling experience actually. Truly it was more of a popularity contest than anything. At the end of the school day, they would announce who had won over the loudspeakers. It was a very nerve racking process for someone who had low self esteem.

The Boy Who Made Me Want to Give Up

Well, that year was my second time to try out for cheerleader, because I had done it in the sixth grade.

I remember it was my first year at the new school and very scary to do it. But that year when I walked out of the gym after trying out a boy my age called me ugly and it stuck in my mind forever. Anyway for me to try out the next year was very scary for me to do again.

That day after school came the news over the loudspeaker. Four of the most popular girls in school had made the cheerleading team and all at once they announced that “Jo Ellen Mains” would be the alternate in case anyone quit or couldn’t make the team for some reason. My heart sank but I felt pretty good that I even made alternate.

Well, shortly after Basketball season began, the one of the girls on the squad got caught drawing all over the restroom walls and so they moved me up to her place because she got kicked off.

For the rest of the year she hated me because I had taken her place! Jealousy had set into her heart. But, nevertheless there I was this little girl with low self esteem on the cheerleading squad!

God Said to Tell You

God reminded me of this the other night and said that I was to share it with you for a reason.

He said that there are many who have seemed to have always been the underdog all of their life with The LORD when it came to being promoted to places in ministry, but He wants you to know that there are many incidences that are about to happen that are going to disqualify those that do not walk in His ways.

There are many that He is about to remove from their places and so called platforms because they did not represent Him when He put them there and that He is about to “Make the first last and the last first in this hour!”

Get Ready to Be Promoted

Get ready and do not give up or give into hopelessness right now, because your breakthrough into promotion is about to take place!

You have been faithful and taken the abuse and misuse of bad leadership and those that would never look at what He has placed in you but He is going to suddenly bring you forth in spite of them!

“Watch what I AM about to do, for I will work a work in My Church in your day that you have not seen for I AM bringing many to the forefront who have truly rather have stayed behind.

I AM placing those faithful in places where they will flourish and cause My Agenda to prosper in the earth!

It is time for the righteous to shine forth and I AM about to showcase them!”
