Sucked-up Air!
Words of Encouragement!
“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith The LORD. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; for thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; The LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. For The LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.” Isaiah 54:1-6.
God’s Word works in many adverse events — it never sleeps in specific or generalized situations.
One might say this selection of scripture in Isaiah 54 only applies to women. However, God is no respecter of persons.
The Holy One of Israel does not see gender when it comes to pain and suffering in His children.
Christians come into arenas of sadness, sorrow, depression, anxiety, have things stolen from them, and other common disorders — because they are in fleshly bodies.
Like most Christians, I too can find many scriptures to defeat these emotions.
Today, I am looking at the onset of anything that steals joy, peace, hope, and all things that hinder abundant life.
When seeking answers, right away the culprit is visible along with the solution.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8.
“Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:42-44.
It takes a lot of emotion and heart wrenching efforts to wallow in the gutter.
Feel the drain of wallowing experiences and realize how much energy is wasted in into self-pity. Cut of the enemy’s source of power!
Wallowing emotions turn into jealousy, envy, bitterness, hopelessness, and a person desiring to stop doing what has worked previously.
Oh people of God; this is a weapon of the enemy to make God’s people feel ungrateful and useless.
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of The LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith The LORD.” Isaiah 54:17.
The enemy wants God’s people to suck up life — meaning bottle it in a tight container not for use. When this happens the supply of oxygen and blood flow is hindered.
We need God’s air to breathe and live the fruitful life The Father intended for His People.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I AM come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28.
Once again, The LORD is exposing the enemy. Our Heavenly Father has given us life eternal and the promise of a future without sin.
Solomon reminds us:
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9.
The Apostle Paul also reminds us:
“For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.” Romans 7:14-21.
In Luke 15, we see a story about a son who lost his way because he had an “Outward Identity”.
The young man only saw his value in what others thought and saw in his life.
It is evident that he never took the time to see his worth on the inside where God deposits good and perfect things.
After the younger son discovered outward appearances wash away — he began to look deeper inside himself for truth.
I encourage every person having a trying experience to see your worth in the Word of God.
When it seems like our course studies results in a failed score – thank God we are able to take a makeup test!
“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:6-9.
Jesus died for Believers to have so many liberties. Please do not exchange these liberties for sucked up air in a bottle.
“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. And he said, A certain man had two sons: and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.” Luke 15:10-24.
