Submission Makes Headway Into Prophetic Obedience
For many years I have wondered why there are not more who will take their place in the Church and just start to obey the Voice of The LORD.
The fear of man is a snare, fearing that those in “authority” will reject them and their calling.
I have seen the rejection through suppression, but they cannot suppress my expression, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
Being assured of this one thing, that He Who began this good work in you will complete it until the Day of Jesus Christ.
There are those who will not want to be associated with prophetic people because they don’t want their friends to think of them like they think of the prophets, in the Church.
Contempt toward prophecy in the Church is very telling of the lack of knowledge.
One must learn what it really takes to utilize submission, in order to make headway into obedience in the Prophetic Ministry.
Obedience is better than sacrifice. Submission and Obedience will then lead to persuading others into prophetic obedience.
By their fruit you will know them…..
~ Thomas Downes
Thomas Downes. Walking with The LORD for over 40 years, Thomas runs “The Voice of the Writer” a Prophetic Ministry. His purpose is to present the Word of God and the Love of God with the prophetic heart; the heart that desires to hear the Voice of The LORD, and present His Word for the encouragement of others.
So true, unfortunately. Another sad aspect to what you said is found in Rev 19:10 The testimony of Jesus is The Spirit of Prophecy. This is The problem in many “churches”. As you said the fear of man is a large factor, and in fearing man they only have the “testimony of man”.This is spelled out to the Laodicean church. Jesus calls Himself The True Witness. The Greek word for this is also the root word for “testimony” in Rev 19:10.
Just as Israel DEMANDED a king (man, flesh) rule over them instead of The Theocracy ruled by YHVH, this World is about to suffer the same consequences as Israel. Israel ended up with Saul and all his baggage. But it didn’t stop with Saul. Then the nation was brought face-to-face, not with YHVH, but with Goliath, the giant of fleshly, mankind! BUT!! God always has His David’s, a remnant in The Spirit of Elijah, a Body, a Bride//Army, a Manchild, that He has tucked away in the obscurity of His Own Hand, preparing It for such a Time as THIS! Prepare for Battle Beloved!! Ask The Holy Spirit to double check your armor for Completeness and Secureness, and to let us know what needs Adjusting. Make sure it’s YOUR armor, and not King Saul’s!! If God gives you a sling and a stone, count it as more than enough! Are we Fit for The Battle? Will we RUN to the giants to deal the Death Blows? Do we possess God’s Vision to see as He sees, not wavering in what the natural appears like, but having His Eyes of Faith? Will we be able to hear His Orders and Commands to execute His Strategy of The Ages? Do you hear The Trumpet sound out the Muster Call going out from The LORD of SABAOTH? 1Co 14:8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
The Lord says “THIS IS NOT A DRILL”!
Is 16:9 for upon thy summer fruits and upon thy harvest the battle shout is fallen.(ASV, JFB)

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Thank you Doug for sharing your insight! It has stirred fire within me to keep going, keep hoping, keep trusting!!
