Strange Fire Will Get You Killed!
Strange fire will get you killed in the Kingdom of God!
Let me just say this and to clarify something to the five-fold-ministry the pulpit is not a place for your joking, and your shenanigans it is a holy place!
The son’s of Aaron were disobedient and profane, God displayed His hot displeasure in no uncertain terms.
God was not going to allow the disobedience of Aaron’s sons to set a precedent for future disregard of His Law. The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments and the anointing oil and the bull of the sin offering and the two rams and the basket of unleavened bread. And assemble all the congregation at the entrance of the tent of meeting.” And Moses did as the LORD commanded him, and the congregation was assembled at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
And Moses said to the congregation, “This is the thing that the Lord has commanded to be done.” And Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water. And he put the coat on him and tied the sash around his waist and clothed him with the robe and put the ephod on him and tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod around him, binding it to him with the band.
And he placed the breast-piece on him, and bin the breast-piece he put the Urim and the Thummim. And he set the turban on his head, and on the turban, in front, he set the golden plate, the holy crown, as the LORD commanded Moses. In other words everything had to be according to the word of the Lord an d not according to the flesh!
But, out came wicked Nadab and Abihu, came along and offered incense with “strange fire.”
The Hebrew word translated “strange” means “unauthorized, foreign, or profane.” God not only rejected their sacrifice; He found it so offensive that He consumed the two men with fire.
But, out came Nadab and Abihu for their strange fire, God was making a point to all the other priests who would serve in His tabernacle that they are to follow his commands; instead of doing things the way they felt it should be done.
Some times we as God’s Leviticus priest can become so comfortable and familiar to the people that if we are not careful we can begin to allow any and everything to come out of our mouths as we minister before both God and the people.
In this season, God is saying that our presentation and representation of Him is everything when we sanctify Him in the eyes of the people!
And, we need to be careful that we do not quench or grieve the Holy Spirit in this season as Nadab and Abihu did.
God knows our hearts. He knows what we truly believe and our attitude toward Him. We cannot offer to Him proud “sacrifices” that are unworthy of Him.
He seeks those who come to Him in humility, ready to sacrifice their pride and lay before Him humble and contrite hearts grieving for sin (Psalm 51:17).
Certainly, there is grace and forgiveness and plenty of “second chances” for those who belong to Him.
But God wants us to know that He is serious when it comes to His honor and glory. It is okay to use humor and other methods of captivating the attention of the people because God is a God of humor but we need to recognize and give respect to the power and the things of God as we represent God as his High Priest!
Come out of your familiar place and allow God to touch your mouth, (Leviticus 10).

Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
