Storm the Gate of Joy!
A Gate of Joy is before you! Are you going to walk through it?
The prophetic word I gave in June is that medical and supernatural solutions for the coronavirus are being released from Heaven. Seven weeks after Pentecost — which is July 19 — a Gate of Joy is going to open up.
Now the thing about gates is you have to walk through them to get to what’s on the other side. Whenever The LORD says that He opens up a gate or a doorway, it’s a spiritual metaphor!
In fact, I heard God tell me to storm the Gates of Joy! Here are a few ways you can do that.
Laugh as much as you can
When times are tough, people start getting serious. No one really wants to laugh when you feel afraid of the future or are anxious about what comes next.
Listen — it’s okay to laugh. It’s okay to do the things that make you happy. In fact, it’s more than okay! God’s encouraging you to do joyful things right now.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come,” Proverbs 31:25 NIV.
The future is The LORD’s business. For now, just trust that it will be a joyful one. Find ways to take mini-vacations from your struggles.
An hour or two, or even a whole day, when you can close the door on your issues and let them be. If this isn’t completely possible due to an illness or something else, try setting aside a time to rest without feeling guilty about it.
Your problems may still be there when you emerge from your mini-break.
But you’ll find you have a new perspective and can tackle the issues from a place of prayer and rest!
Increase your times of worship
I don’t know about you, but music has been a great comfort to me lately. I’ve been playing Good, Good Father by Chris Tomlin on repeat. What a wonderful reminder that God has good things in store for us!
What about you? Do you have a song that’s encouraging to you during these times? Let me know in the comments below!
Worship is a way to focus your mind on the stuff that’s really important in life. It reminds you of who’s really in charge — The LORD, your Father!
“The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him,” Psalm 103:13 NLT.
As you worship in this season, you will find your joy start to increase. It will bubble out of you like a deep well. Brooks of blessings will start to flow!
Position yourself
Positioning yourself involves getting deeper healing, growing in intimacy with God, learning to love and coming into agreement with God’s will and ways for your life.
Drop out of that “grumbler’s club” and stay away from negativity. Be very careful what you let in.
Most people talk about the eye gate: “Be careful what you see.” But you also need to be careful of what you let in your ears right now.
Step away from negative talk radio, news or negative things on the internet. It’s important to keep informed, but there’s such a thing as being too informed when it messes with your ability to live everyday life without fear.
I can now hear God clearly, because I stepped away from negativity and got in touch with God. This is how I moved from seeing demons all the time into seeing angels and God’s solution to problems.
Get ready and do what it takes to align yourself to receive in this new season! It’s going to be full of joy. I mean that!
Blessings,
~ Doug Addison
