Stop Fancying Up the Flesh!

Idolatry in the Body of Christ?
Sometimes we as Christians idolize our favorite TV preacher or just ministers, period.
This happens a lot in the prophetic realm especially, and we don’t think that we are but when they fall we get hurt as one of my friends just was speaking to me. If there is a man or woman of God that people are hanging on their every word… look out!
The next thing that I usually see is God showing you that they are Human. Oops! Oh yes, He will not have any other God’s before him! So let’s repent as the body of Christ so that these people can do their ministries, not be fallen movie stars!
Trust me, you don’t want to see the uncovering! God loves us and does not want to see us hurt by mere men who are misrepresenting Him! Do not Idolize men…
“Therefore, warn them that the LORD God says: ‘Repent and destroy your idols, and stop worshiping them in your hearts. I the LORD will personally punish everyone, whether people of Israel or the foreigners living among you, who rejects me for idols and then comes to a prophet to ask for my help and advice. I will turn upon him and make a terrible example of him, destroying him; and you shall know I AM the LORD.
And if one of the false prophets gives him a message anyway, it is a lie. His prophecy will not come true, and I will stand against that “prophet” and destroy him from among my people Israel. False prophets and hypocrites—evil people who say they want my words—all will be punished for their sins, so that the people of Israel will learn not to desert me and not to be polluted any longer with sin. They will be my people and I their God.’ So says the LORD” Ezekiel 14:6-11.
Stop Fancying Up the Flesh….
Crucify It, to See the Glory of God!
Sometimes we want to deck ourselves in self righteousness and look perfect when we know ourselves that we have issues underneath!
We are all human and yet we have this treasure in earthen vessels. We try so hard to cover our humanness by looking Spiritual but in the process of that we cover up the true treasure in us which is the Glory of God! When they saw the humanity of the apostles this happened…..
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus,” Acts 4:13.
The Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:9 (ASV),
“And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Jesus is seen and His righteousness when they see how His Grace has worked in our weaknesses and in all of our flaws. Your flesh will always be flesh, but we must allow Christ in us to do the works of God through these frail vessels!
The only thing to be done with flesh is to crucify it daily! Stop trying to fancy up your flesh to look good!
Don’t fancy up the flesh… Crucify it!
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me,” Galatians 2:20.
The greatest way to do this is to become unashamed to testify of where God brought you from! Stop caring about your past and allow people to see what Jesus did for you! That way the glory of God will be seen!
