Stop Believer Assisted Suicides
Spiritual suicide and physical suicide many times are tightly woven together and become normal church practice. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that indulge in either shall eat the fruit of their words” Proverbs 18:21. Did you ever hear a brother of sister criticize or speak evil of another member of My body? After they voiced their feelings did you respond with, “I don’t blame you, I would feel the same way”? If so, You just participated in a believer assisted suicide!
Don’t you know that, “If you bite and devour one another, you will consume one another?” Galatians 5:15. You are encouraging them to speak against another member of My body and “for this reason, they become one of the many weak and sickly among you, and one of the many that die early, because they participate in communion with this attitude” 1 Corinthians 11:30.
“Do not hesitate to exhort one another daily; because any one of you could easily be hardened through gossip and the deceitfulness of sin” Hebrews 3:13. One negative word spoken from an angry pastors heart, can be eventual suicide to a whole congregation! That congregation can then assist in the suicide of a whole community.
Stop the epidemic of believer assisted suicide! “I charge every kingdom person, before My Father, who shall judge the quick and the dead at My appearing and at the establishing of My kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when congregations will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves pastors and teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But be alert in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry” 2 Timothy 4:1-5.
Bottom line: When it’s your turn, do you want a believer to assist in your suicide saying, (I don’t blame you brother) or do you want a life saving rebuke, from a kingdom person saying, (you’ve got to get your heart right brother)? Matthew 5:23-24.
