Stand By The Cross of Jesus Like His Mother
Stand by The Cross of Jesus, for that is where you can get all things: Salvation and things that accompany Salvation.
Oh, “beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation…” (Hebrews 6:9).
It is such a moving and heart-warming account of how sooo GOOD and CARING The LORD Jesus is, exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think.
There He was dying on The Cross, bearing all the FILTH and weight of our sins in His Body.
( The heavy filth of sin He bore in His Body was MUCH MUCH MORE than the physical equivalent of all the poo/ ‘toilet’/ faeces, sewage, refuse, and all other pollutions of all mankind ever born and yet to be born.
Jesus alone bore it all on The Cross: homosexuality, adultery, fornication, pornography, abortion and all other murders, occultism, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, evil speaking, bitterness, wrath, anger, malice, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, drunkenness, drug addiction, revelries, lying, and all other sins and their filthy, stinking, revolting stench and pollution.
The sinless Jesus bore them all in His HOLY Body. The LORD bore the punishment of all our sins in our place. )
Then, in spite of all that filthy burden and stench of sin He was bearing together with His EXCRUCIATING wounds, Jesus looked down and saw His mother (and other women) standing by His Cross. Immediately, being the ever-caring Man, He arranged for her comfortable upkeep, even as He hung dying.
“Now there stood by The Cross of Jesus His mother… when Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.” John 19:25 -27 emphasis added.
If The LORD Jesus did it for His mother while dying, He will do it much more for you, being now ALIVE forever! Hallelu-YAH! Glory to God in the Highest!
The Bible calls it “The Love of Christ which passes knowledge”, (Ephesians 3:19). And this amazing Love is abundantly available for you to have if you would stand by The Cross of Jesus like His mother.
As written,
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32.
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2:12.
Beloved, stand by The Cross of Jesus, and He will see you and make comfortable arrangements and upkeep for you.
What does it mean to stand by The Cross of Jesus?
Go to Him for your need on the basis of His Cross, that is, what He has bought for us with His PRECIOUS Blood. Go to Jesus for your need, ask Him, seek Him, “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7).
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to The Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16.
Is it healing? Provision? Financial need? Marital/ family matters? Is it employment? Business? Ministry? What is your need?
Whatever your need, just stand by The Cross of Jesus, He will see you and sort you out.
As He Himself has said,
“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:7-11.
If you always stand by The Cross of Jesus, you won’t have to worry about a thing.
Things are only going to get worse in the world, and very rapidly too. Learn NOW to stand by The Cross of Jesus.
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1.
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus The LORD, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving,” Colossians 2:6-7.
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13.
“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of The Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and The Sword of The Spirit, which is The Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints — and for ME, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of The Gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak,” Ephesians 6:14-20 emphasis added.
Stand by The Cross Jesus.
Be standing on the promises of God our Saviour to meet your need.
Remember that wonderful hymn?
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of Jesus Christ by The Will of God, according to The Promise of Life which is in Christ Jesus, (2 Timothy 1:1). As John was, Jacob is the disciple whom JESUS loves, (John 13:23;19:26; 20:2; 21:7,20). And like Paul, Jacob is “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
“And having been perfected, He became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
So wonderful and very encouraging. Thank you. God bless.
Thanks for the great reminder!
