But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you. It seems, that in the beginning, we were much more open to certain things in the scriptures. We were even taught how to recognize such people; we knew what kind of fruit to look for. We also were aware that there were those among us, who had great swelling words but their hearts were far from the Lord. It wasn’t called judging back then; it was called discerning. Led, by the Spirit.
Perhaps, we did not fully realize, just how spiritual we were. We were instructed to walk in the Spirit; to fast and pray, study the Word, and grow. Some things, crept in.
For some reason, those who shouldn’t have, stopped teaching what a real Saint was, and what kind of power they had in the Holy Ghost. Here, is where some of us are going to have to bear up, and speak just what the Spirit wants said; no matter the cost. Politics and elected officials, likely changed the order of some things that God had set up in the Church; things first taught by the Apostles and by the Prophets.
Those who were truly called, wanted to be used. But, you had to make points, and get in with the right people. It didn’t start out that way.
The saints, we the people, could recognize those who were truly anointed by the Holy Ghost; and easily see, those who were not. But something, crept in; actually, some people who were false. Those who have taken control of the ministry in the church, are going to give an answer one day; perhaps sooner than some may think. How could they flaunt their desire for control and power, in the face of God. And dare anyone, to question them.
“For such are false prophets, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 11:13. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. And still is. Those who were called and ordained, to question some of the things we were exposed to and commanded to follow, were slowly elbowed out.
I don’t recall that Paul, had to have a license to preach. There is a spirit that is fighting me right now; as we speak. A clutch of power and control, which has no intention of taking their hands off of God’s people. Telling the saints of Christ’s church, that they were going to hell if they did not obey everything they were told, was one of those heresies brought in unawares. It’s coming to a close.
Even so, what about today. It seems more and more, that the tide has turned; leaders are following what the saints want to hear. It did not, and does not, have to be this way. The move of the Spirit that stands waiting in the shadows for some of us, is not going to happen under the same terms and conditions we operated in.
We can hear what the Holy Ghost is doing in other parts of the world; how a mighty outpouring of the Spirit is happening. And I love that. It’s a precious thing to hear. But somebody, must stand up and declare today, that this remnant we’ve heard so much about, is not forgotten or lost to His promise. All those who hunger, will be fed.
There’s an old song, that rings through my heart and mind today. It says, “Yes I know Jesus. For myself!” Another old hymn comes back into my spirit now. It said, “Every promise in the Book is mine, every chapter, every verse, every line.”
The Holy Ghost, is visiting people in their homes, right now. There is such a hunger for the real thing. The truth is, it’s really about us, and Him. If we don’t have that, we don’t have anything anyway.
Another old song, “I don’t believe, He brought me this far, to leave me.“ Nobody, is going to take away what God has ordained and called us to be in Him; not anymore.
They tried; but He, is still greater. I’m so glad.
