Some Reasons Jesus Said He Came
Some Reasons Jesus Said He Came
He came to seek the lost.
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost, (Luke 19:10).
He came to save the lost.
For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost, (Matthew 18:11).
He came to serve.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, (Mark 10:45).
He came that men might have life more abundant.
I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly, (John 10:10).
He came to reveal the Father.
Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him, (Matthew 11:27).
Jesus said to him, ‘He who has seen Me has seen the Father’, (John 14:9).
He came to do the will of God.
Then He added, ‘Look, I have come to do Your will’, (Hebrews 10:9).
He came to preach The Kingdom of God.
But He said to them, ‘I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose’, (Luke 4:43).
He came to bear witness to the truth.
For this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice, (John 18:37).
He came to save sinners.
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, (1 Timothy 1:15).
He came to destroy the works of the devil.
The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil, (1 John 3:8).
Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out, (John 12:31).
He came to provide a pattern of holy living for Christians.
Since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, (1 Peter 2:21).
He explained A New Attitude God desired us to have.
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another, (John 13:34-35).
If your purpose is to get to heaven then you will have the same objectives, purposes and attitudes as Jesus had:
Objectives are what we aim to achieve.
Purposes are how we propose to do these objectives.
Attitudes are the way we think about doing these objectives.
Your objectives should be ones that will get you to heaven.
Your purposes should be the acceptable ways to obtain these objectives.
Your attitudes should be the correct ways to think to obtain these objective which need to be a natural expression of the way you approach things.
To get to heaven:
Your objectives will need to be the same as God’s.
Your purposes need to be those He approves of.
Your attitudes be the same as those He has toward things.
What are some objectives you should have?
To tell people of God’s Love for them.
To tell of His desire for them to be with Him for eternity.
To tell them what He has done to make this possible.
To tell them of the attitudes and purposes He requires from us.
To do this we need to know:
What He requires from us.
What he has taught us to think and do.
How to put this into practice in our life.
He has given us the following promises:
He will provide all we need to do this if we seek to know Him more closely and do the purposes of His Kingdom:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you,” Matthew 6:33.
If we desire to know these things He will tell us them:
“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself,” John 7:17.
He will give us The Holy Spirit to help us in these things:
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come,” John 16:13.
He will tell us all we need to know, (Deuteronomy 29:29).
“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law,” Deuteronomy 29:29.
As we examine the life of Jesus we see:
He demonstrated the Love of God in all He did.
He destroyed the works of darkness (done by Satan and his demons).
He guided people to a relationship with Him and The Father (Eternal Life).
He taught people what God required them to know.
He demonstrated the Authority of The Kingdom of God over the kingdom of Satan and his workings.
He trained people to do what He was doing.
Jesus asks:
What are your objectives, purposes and attitudes?
Are they the same as mine?
I AM coming very soon so that you do not have much time to get them right.
Be diligent in these pursuits. Remember you are in hell for an awful, long time.
My Spirit is waiting to help you in following my objectives and purposes as well as to teach you the correct attitudes you need to have to live as my follower.
So you will have no excuse in not doing these things.
Behold I come quickly,
Jesus.
