Some have written wondering why I am building a “Safe Place.”

[Or might I say, would God even call someone to build one? And, is there such taught in the scriptures?].

I want to take just a few minutes to talk to this question with Bible answers.

Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 24:15-24, to His disciples when He was telling them about the coming end times?

Jesus told them that they should watch for the time the Antichrist sets up his abomination of desolation in the temple.

He told them when they saw it, to run into the wilderness/ desert and flee away from the coming terrible times fixing to happen!

He said pray that your flight not be in the winter, or that your wife is expecting, etc… He predicted a very hard time coming.

Is it then foreign to think that God would help them flee?

Or, is it beyond understanding to think God would even provide a place for them to run into?

Next, consider that God did tell Noah to build a safe place to be when the flood came. He told Noah exactly how big it was to be and evidently helped Noah build that safe place.

Then God sent Noah’s family into the ark, and the animals. There they were in the flood, but not destroyed by it, and god protected them all there.

Next, consider the story of Elijah. Did not God send Elijah into the desert and hide him for 3½ years?

Did not God even feed Elijah with ravens who flew him food to eat, and God gave him a cool spring of water to quench his thirst?

Next, consider the story of Sodom and Gomorrah and Lot and his family. Did not God tell the angels to go get Lot out of Sodom, because “I cannot destroy the righteous with the wicked!”

Know that God took them by the hand and led them out of Sodom into …..”Another place nearby” which was safe and outside the fire and brimstone destruction of sodomites.

Next consider that God sent Moses to go to Egypt and lead the people of God who were captive, out of that place into a desert land where He fed them, gave them water, and healed them, and their clothes did not even wear out!

For some 40 years, God led them, by the hand of Moses through the deserted desert land. God even fed them with angel’s food!

Next, consider that God set up a tabernacle in the wilderness as a place for His wondering people to worship. Did not god separate them unto Himself and even told them His laws?

Next, consider that Jesus Christ himself departed into the desert often to find rest.

Did he not seek the seclusion of the desert apart to pray? Into the desert He was sent by God to be tempted and tested some 40 days.

Jesus was in the desert mountain, watching His disciples struggle on the raging sea of Galilee, then He went walking to them on the water in the middle of the night?

Last, [and probably should not be last], do we not understand that God will protect His church/ the Woman of Revelation 12 for some 3½ years …..***

Note this:….. In a special place prepared just for them in the wilderness/ desert.

***a safe place!

Read it here:

“….. and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of god, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days…..”

And also…

“….. and to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Ad the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of god, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ,” Revelation 12:6, 14-17.

Many today are teaching that God must take His people out of the world in a “Rapture” before the tribulation.

This teaching is [pardon me for saying it, but consider that I am telling you truth] not found and fully supported in the scriptures as it is taught today.

The fact is, the time of catching away of those that are Christ…. will happen only at His coming [coming back to earth at the end of the tribulation].

There is no secret rapture of all God’s church taught in the scriptures. But there is something else taught:

A coming for only those who were watching and waiting in Matthew 25 in the story of the 10 virgins.

Please do carefully study of this story by Jesus Christ, that only ½ of the 10 were taken.

In other words, only half of those who wore white robes and were with a lamp, waiting for their bridegroom were actually taken!

In this story of the virgins taken, where does it talk about a resurrection of the dead?

I think that is a good question, seeing that those who teach the “secret rapture” teach it from verses that teach those changed and taken up would follow the resurrection of the dead.

In the virgin story, they were just taken up and to a place to be with their Lord. It does not say where they were taken, but only that they went out to meet their Lord.

The story continues to tell us that later the other 5 came and wanted in. Into what?

I think that could be and should be a very good question to ask at this point in the understanding.

I will proceed no farther in this particular teaching, but leave off here to say this:

You who do not believe god would build a safe place for his people or command many to build these places, stop and read the word of god and see that God has already done it in the past…

And He evidently will do it again.

Scripture:

“…..when ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Nut pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day: for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be….” Matthew 24:15-21.
