How come so many people keep passing the buck; instead of taking responsibility for the poor decision-making in life?

As I was meditating upon The LORD, He said to me that, it’s time for the Nations to stop passing the buck!

I said what do you mean LORD?

And, He said, remember Abram and Sarai — how God spoke to Abram and told him that He was going to bless him with a child. God said, “Don’t worry, he won’t be your heir; a son from your body will be your heir.”

Then He took him outside and said, “Look at the sky. Count the stars. Can you do it? Count your descendants! You’re going to have a big family, Abram!”

And he believed! Believed GOD! God declared him “Set-Right-with-God.” GOD continued, “I’m the same GOD who brought you from Ur of the Chaldees and gave you this land to own,” Genesis 15:4b-7 MSG.

The LORD made a covenant with Abram to bless him and his seed, but for some odd reason Sarai got it into her mind she could not wait for God, for it seemed as though her age was not waiting, and she was getting older and older by the minute.

So Sarai got it in her mind no doubt by listening to the enemy — “Let me help God out!”

“So Sarai, Abram’s wife, took her Egyptian maid Hagar and gave her to her husband Abram as a wife. Abram had been living ten years in Canaan when this took place.

So, the Bible said that Sarai gave her handmaid to her husband to sleep with because of her impatience. And, Abram wanting to appease his wife knowing full well what God had said He slept with Hagar and she got pregnant. And, when Hagar learned she was pregnant, she looked down on her mistress.

Sarai told Abram, “It’s all your fault that I’m suffering this abuse. I put my maid in bed with you and the minute she knows she’s pregnant, she treats me like I’m nothing. May GOD decide which of us is right,” Genesis 16:3-5 MSG.

Sari, like many of us if we are not careful in this hour, shall abort your baby (the promises of God). Why? Because you lack the patience of God and not only the patience but the faith to wait on God!

God gave Abram a set of instructions and told him all that would befall him and Sarai, yet Abram allowed Sarai to talk him into sleeping with Hagar!

And, because he did, Sarai went down a road of doubt, insecurities and jealousy, because she strayed away from the promises of God and failed to trust God to allow Abram to impregnate her, or to bring her into the birthing room to give birth.

The LORD said to me that instead of Sarai taking on responsibility for her doubt and lack of faith, she passed the buck to Abram.

Sarai told Abram, “It’s all your fault that I’m suffering this abuse. I put my maid in bed with you and the minute she knows she’s pregnant, she treats me like I’m nothing. May GOD decide which of us is right.”

You can see the division and the quarreling between them, and how Sarai wanted to blame somebody else for all her bad decision-making instead of admitting that it was her doubt and impatience that drove her to do things on her own.

Should Abram had been the strong husband here and stopped her? Maybe, but most likely it would have done no good, since Sarai was stubborn and did not totally trust God in the first place!

Abram says to her in the midst of her frustrations,

“”You decide,” said Abram. “Your maid is your business.” Sarai was abusive to Hagar and Hagar ran away,” Genesis 16:6 MSG.

I believe that God is saying to His People that friction has come to us as a people and a nation, regarding the promises of God, because like Sarai, many of you have decided,

“I want it my way God! And my circumstances say, like Sarai and her impatience and old age, you are taking too long!

So, instead of waiting patiently upon You, I’m gonna do it my way! Just like Sarai did!”

Sarai caused her marriage, her handmaid and Hagar’s child to all suffer because of her impatience.

Her handmaid looked down upon her and as a result, she saw herself equal to Sarai, because Sarai handed her handmaid her covenant covenant relationship with her husband to take her place as husband and wife, and after doing so, jealousy and envy set in.

How many of us, after God has supposedly given us a Prophetic Word; a promise, began to try doing somethings in our lives on our own, only to run into frustration after frustration, and friction after friction, because it was not a God idea but a flesh idea?

God, in this season, is revealing His heart and He is saying that many people in our Nations, families and communities are suffering because it is not a God idea you are going through, but an idea of the flesh as Sarai experienced, and should you continue on your journey as a doubter, instead of trusting in Him, you shall continue to see nothing but travail after travail!

I don’t know about you — but I hate false labor pains! Its time to birth this baby and move on to Destiny!
