Sinners Justified Without Works
Today, many cannot grasp the fact that God can and has justified men [forgiven then and accepted them as they are by Faith alone].
The concept of Salvation by Grace through Faith alone seems to be something that many just simply cannot grasp.
Their reasoning is that there is yet something more that must be done in order to be accepted with God and taken into his presence.
How can a man or woman be accepted by God when they have sin in their life?
Then the concept of Eternal Salvation given by Grace Alone, is another further area of confusion.
How can God promise eternal life to a sinner?
Of course, the answer is by Grace through Faith. In other words, God will accept a sinner upon His Grace, provided by the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for sinners.
It is that Salvation, is freely given by Grace and received by believing or faith of the person who is trusting The LORD.
Abraham was listed as being The Father of the Faith. He was even justified by Grace through his Faith in God.
All that Abraham had was God’s Promise that he would be saved and blessed if he simply believed.
The Old Testament people were also saved by Grace through Faith in the promise of one coming who would take away their sins.
All the people were offered the sacrificial system of offering sin offerings for Salvation [pointing to the coming Sacrifice Lamb, The Lamb of God… or Jesus Christ].
Literally, all that differed in their sacrifice was the sacrifice was only a shadow of the coming LORD [in which He would be sacrificed for them to be saved]. Their Salvation was promised and they then looked beyond or forward in time, for the coming one to save them.
The only real difference for New Testament people to be saved is, they look back at the One who did come and died for their sins….. Jesus!
So, clearly the scriptures proclaim that The LORD will and has redeemed sinners by giving His Perfect Sacrifice for their sins.
The only thing that one can do to be saved then, is to believe and trust in The Savior who has died and did His forgiving work for their sins.
Let us look at this teaching now in scripture beginning with Romans 4:4-8.
Read the clear statement that The LORD justified or acquitted Abraham by Belief or Faith. It clearly points out that Abraham did no works to be counted righteous, but he only Believed, Trusted and relied upon God’s promises.
Romans 4:1-8 [all scripture in this study is taken from the Amplified Bible (AMP)]
“What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather humanly speaking, has found? [has he obtained a favored standing?]
For if Abraham was justified [that is, acquitted from the guilt of his sins] by works [those things he did that were good], he has something to boast about, but not before God.
For what does the scripture say? “Abraham believed in (trusted, relied on) God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness (right living, right standing with God).”
Now to a laborer, his wages are not credited as a favor or a gift, but as an obligation [something owed to him].
But to the one who does not work [that is, the one who does not try to earn his salvation by doing good], but believes and completely trusts in him who justifies the unGodly, his faith is credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).
And in this same way david speaks of the blessing on the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: blessed and happy and favored are those whose lawless acts have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered up and completely buried.
Blessed and happy and favored is the man whose sin The LORD will not take into account nor charge against him.”
Abraham then was saved by faith alone, and without working to receive his forgiveness, and it goes on to say so was David.
This truth is not understood by many people who believe that a person must work or keep commandments to be saved or continue to be saved.
Literally they have never considered that The LORD will ,or even can, give his salvation as a free gift which can only be received by grace through faith.
Question:
If a person who is unGodly [an open sinner guilty of breaking Gods laws] can be justified [the word justified means to be forgiven or covered and set free from sin penalty], then how could a person justified by believing and faith only ever do anything to be lost again or not justified?
Many today are saying Salvation is given by Grace through Faith to all who simply Believe.
But, they are not believing that God can and will justify a sinner, or one who is even “unGodly”, and give that person everlasting life.
The concept is beyond them, for they only consider Grace, but cannot understand how God has promised to give as well Eternal Life.
The giving of Eternal Life — to them who disbelieve that God will give such life — must be earned by maintaining good works after one is saved by Grace.
To many, Grace is just the beginning and one must then prove himself worthy to receive eternal life; by maintaining good works or keeping the commandments.
The serious and false teaching that one can loose his/her salvation after Grace is given, is magnified then when God says He Justifies without works the unGodly.
It is hard to many to conceive that God will receive an unGodly person and give him/her eternal life.
Then the difficult thing for many to believe is that God will give total forgiveness and eternal salvation [right standing or righteousness on his/her account] by simply receiving Jesus Christ and his work for the sinner by Faith Alone.
Why is it hard to believe this when the Word of God says nothing is impossible with God?
Can God not receive whomsoever he is, regardless of who he or she is simply by His Grace?
The scriptures in Romans 10 tell us all that one must only confess with his mouth and believe in his heart to be saved!
It is teaching that men can be saved simply by believing in his heart that The LORD is risen from the dead, after having died for our sins, and, it is by the heart [not works] that men are saved, because of what Jesus did for sinners in his death for their sins!
If any sinner [regardless if he is even unGodly] will simply acknowledge and receive or trust in Jesus can be eternally saved by asking in faith.
The scriptures also state that one who ask and believes is then accepted by God, and even made righteous [when he really is not]!
The scriptures say that righteousness will be put on his record when he was not righteous. The righteousness of course is Jesus’ Righteousness, which Jesus give freely to all who ask and believe.
Read it here:
“Because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is lord [recognizing his power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous — being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.
For the scripture says, “whoever believes in him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].”
For there is no distinction between jew and gentile; for the same lord is lord over all [of us], and [he is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on him [in faith and prayer].
For “whoever calls on the name of The LORD [in prayer] will be saved.” Romans 10:9-13.
For a person to deny that The LORD’s salvation is by simple faith in Jesus Christ and by Jesus’ work alone, without his works, would then be to reject The LORD’s free gift of eternal life.
A gift can only be received. If one thinks to buy or earn the gift, it ceases to be a gift!
Salvation is an eternal gift from God to whosoever will believe.
It is then a very serious false teaching to say a person must work or he will loose his salvation.
It indicates that such a person has never seen or considered what Jesus even did in his death, burial and resurrection for sinners. This one who has not believed is not saved!!! Very serious indeed.
Then we understand that salvation is eternal life…. And that life is Jesus. When a person believes by simple faith in Jesus he receives eternal life.
The reason he receives eternal life is:
Jesus is life and he is eternal. D id he not say that he was the way the truth and the life?
See for final proof:
“The one who believes in the son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies confidently on him as savior] has the testimony within himself [because he can speak authoritatively about Christ from his own personal experience]. The one who does not believe God [in this way] has made him [out to be] a liar, because he has not believed in the evidence that God has given regarding his son.
And the testimony is this: God has given us eternal life [we already possess it], and this life is in his son [resulting in our spiritual completeness, and eternal companionship with him].
He who has the son [by accepting him as lord and savior] has the life [that is eternal]; he who does not have the son of God [by personal faith] does not have the life.” 1 John 5:10-12.
Many today have never seen that Jesus himself is Eternal Life, and by receiving Him by asking in Faith, He can actually receive eternal life!
Do you believe, or are you still seeking him?
If you stop trying and start trusting in Jesus alone, then you will too be saved eternally.

This teaching is given in obedience to my Spirit Teacher and is given to help those who have never fully believe in Jesus to simply Relieve….. and receive Him today.
