Sin, Greed, and Pride Will Get You Killed!
God is going to put fear and respect back in His house, no matter what He has to do to do it!
Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession and he kept back part of the proceeds. His wife also being aware of it and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
The LORD said that many people are making promises and vows to Him (others) that they have little or no intention of keeping, just as Ananias and his wife did. You see, they did not have to open their mouth because the land was theirs to keep any ways!
The enemy will use us to say and do things that we don’t have to say, that we will do in the presence of God’s holy angels. But many times, because we want to be seen, or because we have other ulterior motives, we make vows and promises in the presence of God that we don’t have to make, not knowing that it is not the person we are promising to do a favor for, but it is God!
For, he said whatever you do to the least of these little ones you have done unto me! The Bible warns us to not make a vow and defer not to pay it, because God has no pleasure in fools! He said, “Pay that you have vowed!” For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the LORD Jesus Christ, (Philippians 3:20).
For many Christians who are sinning, it is not the fact that they are compromising their beliefs that is their greatest fear, but it is the fact he or she will be found out. But, in this season, God is opening up His people’s eyes to see in the third heaven, things they have never seen before!
You see, God apparently gave Peter supernatural knowledge and the ability of what Ananias had done. This spiritual gift is called the word of knowledge (which is found in 1 Corinthians 12:8). When Peter said this, Ananias must have been crushed and surprised to know that God was revealing him and his wife’s sins, in public!
I am sure they felt by giving part of the money, no one would ever know, but God had a plan far above what they could ever imagine! Certainly he was expecting praise for his spectacular gift, but was rebuked instead. Just like many in the church who are covering up their sins in the secret!
Peter did not accuse Ananias of lying to the church, or to the apostles, but to the Holy Spirit Himself. He said, “While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control?”
Peter freely acknowledges that the land and its value belonged to Ananias alone; he was completely free to do with it what he wanted. You see, their crime was not withholding the money, but in deceptively implying that he was giving it all.
Have you made promises and vows that you are only doing half heatedly and making others think you have fulfilled them! And as a result you are expecting God to bless and promote you?
Ananias was free to use the money for whatever he wanted, except as a means to inflate his own spiritual pride and ego!
Satan can influence the life of a believer, even a spirit-filled believers, but he can’t do your sinning for you. It is you that make the choice to promise and to fulfill obligations in the sight of God in his presence and it is you that will be judged!
Ananias and his wife had to conceive it in their heart before it became a reality and they had every opportunity to repent and did not! Why? Because of greed, and pride!
The death of Ananias and his wife was a divine act of God and not man in order to put the fear of God back into the house!
See Acts 5:1-10.

As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
