Signs & Wonders Come to Draw Men Unto His Holy Name!

Signs and Wonders come to affirm the Word,
not to make men famous,
or help build a worldwide work.

It is given by God to affirm His Word,
spoken with such Power Divine,
that He needs to affirm it with a mighty sign!

A WORD getting man’s attention to give heed,
to turn from their wicked ways and their greed.

With this in mind then, might I ask – Amidst miracles today,
where is the LIVING WORD sent from Above –
so pure, true, powerful and unsparing rough,
requiring the powers of the world to come to be sent from Above?

Are we truly fulfilling our call in God, preaching the Truth that is
Anointed as a Two Edged Sword,
for which there is no earthly reward?

Or are we merely playing a game,
for our own name sake and for fame?

Dear brethren let us take a careful look at ourselves and what we preach,
lest we stand guilty of failing the Truth to teach!

Let us not tickle man’s ear,
not evoking any Godly fear!

Preaching words, so ever softly spoken,
lest someone might be awoken!

Telling them what they wish to hear rather than:
“Prepare the way, for the King is coming – He is almost here!”

Reducing God’s word to things of this world –
Teaching prosperity and earthly reward,
instead of heavenly riches and an Eternal Award!

But let us pray for a WORD from above,
that will purge us from all this earthly, abhorring stuff!

A WORD of such uncompromising Two Edged Truth,
that it truly will require, His Miraculous Stuff!

Let us pray and preach not for our selfish lusts,
while sinners are perishing each day,
how can we be so selfish not to obey?

How will we ever stand before God,
without our Godly duty FULLY wrought?

Aren’t we just toiling as hard as the worldly many,
for silver and golden penny?

The difference simply being –
they do it through greed and sleaze,
while we do it on our knees!

May God help us to see that saving ONE soul,
is worth more than reaching our earthly goals!

May He gracefully show us that Jesus didn’t die,
that we in luxury our lives we may hie!

May we see what Paul saw when he cried –
“Woe is me if the Gospel I do not preach,”
And let us follow in his footsteps, the Gospel Truth to teach!
