Show me the Evidence!
I was recently drawn towards a conversation taking place beneath a video on YouTube. The string consisted of numerous Atheists, Agnostics, etc. all ganged up against one Christian, who quite frankly seemed to be outmatched. The argument being presented was somewhat nonsensical in my opinion. The main point of it was to prove that the Bible is a book of fairy tales, that Christians are nothing but fanatics and freaks and that there is no God but even if there is, it is not the God of the Bible and of the Christians. Jumping into this heated conversation felt a bit like standing in the middle of a rushing river facing into the current.
I was amazed to find that after presenting this argument there was only a trickle of response and that now there is nothing but a standing pool. Who says that Christians are outgunned when facing science?
For many years proving scripture consisted primarily of a rearward facing argument involving history. These arguments are just as applicable today, however, they are now overshadowed by fulfilled prophecy. The fact is that we are living in what I can only call, “Bible times.” See, such prophets as Ezekiel, Isaiah, Daniel and Joel wrote about the days in which we live.
Take for example this scripture from Daniel 12:4. “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
Consider that Daniel lived in approximately 600 BC and you can see how impressive and accurate this prophecy is. A man wrote 2,600 years ago about how:
- Much of the prophecy could not be deciphered before the “time of the end.”
- Many would run to and fro, and
- In the last days knowledge will increase.
No doubt, for centuries there have been prophecies that men have tried to understand but been unable to. Yet now so much of what had been shrouded in mystery has become plain. Interesting… but is it merely a coincidence?
What about men running to and fro? Consider this. There was little to no change in travel from the time of Daniel (2,600 years ago) until the latter portion of the 19th Century. People still used beasts of burden, wagons, chariots and so on. Only in the latter portion of the 19th century was anything new brought into the mix (the steam engine) and since then travel has simply exploded. Men are not only crossing the face of the earth, they have left the face of the planet and even landed on the moon. Still, is this a coincidence?
When I was growing up I commonly went to the library to research topics related to school projects. I would go to the catalog, use the Dewey Decimal System and then try, with a degree of trial and error, to locate within the library the material referenced. This was a vast improvement over past centuries but it was nothing in the face of what can be accomplished today in a simple Google search. I can speak different languages through translators, name every state capital, every nation, tell the distance from here to Paris, France, learn how to tie a knot, build a myriad of things, etc. The list goes on and on. Needless to say, knowledge abounds in this generation. Still a coincidence?
Now consider Ezekiel 36. While the material here is too extensive to quote verbatim in this post, I do want to point out some things of interest.
Ezekiel 36 is a prophecy concerning the nation of Israel. It was written by Ezekiel over 2,500 years ago. The Jews were driven completely out of their land in the first century AD and were dispersed throughout the nations of the world. Verse 19 talks about the first part of what was yet to come. It says, “I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries…”
No doubt, Jewish people have occupied practically every country on the face of the earth. Although they were scattered among the nations, they more than any other people, have managed to remain separate and distinct. For nearly 2,000 years this remained the case. Then in verse 24 we read, “For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”
On May 14th, 1948 Israel became a nation once again. This was an unprecedented event. No nation from the dawn of history had accomplished such a feat. Yet this was what took place. God drew His people from all the nations back into the land of their forefathers. Whether you agree that the land belongs to the Jews or not is a moot point. The fact is that they live there and according to a separate text (Amos 9:15) “I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” If that isn’t clear enough, this is saying that the Jews will never again be removed from their land.
Already we can find overwhelming evidence pointing to the hand of God intervening for the nation of Israel. Consider that on May 15th, 1948 (the day after Israel declared itself a nation once again) a combined invasion by Egypt, Jordan and Syria, together with expeditionary forces from Iraq moved on the tiny fledgling nation. Israeli soldiers were outnumbered 100 to 1 and were overwhelmingly outgunned as they barely had any military equipment. Yet 10 months later when the smoke settled, the nation of Israel had won an overwhelming victory. This victory has been followed by numerous others. Each time Israel was outnumbered and outgunned and yet they marched into overwhelming victory.
Still think this is all coincidence?
Going back to Ezekiel 36, in verse 34 – 35 we read, “The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.” Prior to the Jewish reoccupation of Israel it was widely known as a wasteland. To get a picture of what things looked like prior to the reoccupation we need only look at life just across the Israeli border. While the nation of Israel thrives, all else remains a wasteland.
More than forty types of fruit are grown in Israel. In addition to citrus, these include avocados, bananas, apples, cherries, plums, nectarines, grapes, dates, strawberries, prickly pear, persimmon, loquat and pomegranates. Considering that in 1948 there was nothing but desert, that is quite impressive to say the least. Israel is a world leader in agricultural research and development which has led to dramatic increases in the quantity and quality of the country’s crops. The drive to increase yields and crop quality has led to the development of new seed and plant varieties, as well as to innovations such as a soil conditioner substance which, when mixed with local soils, boosts crop yields and drip irrigation.
Again I ask, is this a coincidence?
I could keep on going but if you were to take what I have already revealed from scripture and ask a mathematician the chances of all these things occurring they would give you odds of billions to one. Yet Atheists continue to claim that the Bible is a book of fairy tales. Here’s the reality. I have hit on only a small sliver of prophecy but I can tell you that the fulfillment of the words of prophecy written in the Bible will be 100%. Every stroke of the pen will come to pass.
I understand that this does not line up with the original video being presented here. I do applaud the video maker for their extensive research but I cannot corroborate what is being said. I will say this though, the Illuminati and the NWO definitely have an agenda and it is very possible that there will be significant events occurring on or around these dates (September of 2015). I would recommend looking at the work of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn regarding the year of the Shemitah. It is an entirely new subject that I simply don’t have the energy to unpack at this point but suffice it to say that according to the Hebrew calendar there is a high likelihood of a major financial collapse (for the United States) occurring on or around September 13th of this year. This is based on a 7 year reoccurring cycle which can be established as accurate from an historical aspect as well.
I realize that most have not read this far. I realize that I am likely to take on criticism based more on biased opposition to my views and as such these arguments will be filled with emotion but devoid of facts. The reality is that we all must make our own decisions. In the end each of us will stand before the throne of God. I will not answer for you and you will not answer for me. We will each give our own account. I have given sound evidence based on the scriptures that point to the truth of God’s word and therefore the existence of its Author.
So then when Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man will come to the Father except by Me” we must choose. Was He insane or is He in fact the Son of God? (The good man position is ridiculous as any many who declares himself as God but is not is nothing more than a delusional liar). If Jesus is who He claims to be, I beseech you to get to know Him. There is no other path and there is no other hope. Don’t take your chances. Bend your knee to Him today. If you need someone to pray with you, it will be my honor to do so.
Below are the responses I received.
Squall Leonhart (Emo Git) 1 | Too long; didn’t read.
Fisher of Men Productions | +Squall Leonhart No offense but my writing is typically catered to those with a desire to actually know the truth. So I’ll move my writing elsewhere and you can continue your senseless, meaningless chatter here.
Tiro “Isao” Kun | My IQ is around 120. Anyone with half a brain should know not to shove your “beliefs” down our throats.
Fisher of Men Productions | +Tiro Kun That’s a very nice number. So tell me, since you are intelligent, do you not care about your eternal soul? I mean, if someone presents to you a valid argument, would it not seem worthwhile to at least consider the information being presented?
Interestingly enough, Makoto Naegi 苗木誠, who commented that they did not believe in God, but in science withdrew their remarks after my response below.
Fisher of Men Productions | +Makoto Naegi 苗木 誠 Good. I love the scientific approach. Let’s make sure to include the mathematical approach as well since both deal with logic and reason.
Please feel free to refute the items I have discussed with the evidence that counters them. That should make for a great discussion.
Fisher of Men Productions | +Makoto Naegi 苗木誠 While we are at it, I would be interested in your thoughts on this. What’s your scientific opinion?
NOT A WORD HAS COME INTO THE STRING SINCE. |
Christians don’t need to run and hide at the mention of science. We don’t need to bow out of the conversation when the Bible is called a book o fairy tales. We need to know our Bibles and we need to know how to formulate arguments in response to these spiritual bullies. Instead we need to make a stand. I understand that not all are equipped in this area and that is okay, but every person here on Facebook is equipped with a “share” button and every person knows of someone who would benefit from this message.
Time is limited. “…Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,” 1 Peter 3:15.
