Shouldn’t We All Be Moving by Inspiration of the Spirit?
Pastors who do not want the prophetic in your Church, I am wondering if your sermons on Sundays, if you say they are from God, isn’t that the same thing?
And if you aren’t hearing from God, then what is it you are preaching?
You who say that prophecy is inspired preaching, then where is the inspiration coming from if it isn’t from God?
My prayer is that every function and gift in The Body of Christ be truly inspired by the Spirit of God otherwise, what are we doing?
It is my belief that we should all be prophetic, no matter what gift we are moving in.
When I got saved and then filled with The Holy Spirit, sometime later I went to a Church who had a Pastor who encouraged the congregation to move in their gifts and they also made room for them.
Making room for The Holy Spirit… Hmmmm… now there is a concept!
When that is happening, at least for me, I could not wait to get to Church to see what God was about to do next! I didn’t get up in the morning and think “Oh no, I have to go to church!”
The Church ought to be a safe place for people to move in their gifts! Honestly, the very fact that we don’t allow The Holy Spirit to take over is because we do not trust The Spirit in God’s people!
Instead we have everything so programmed and we do it because we trust in our plans more than God’s plan for what He wants to do in our services!
This way of doing things is coming to an end!
God is about to take over His Church if we will allow Him to and I believe that if we do not, then He will go on to The Church up the street who will!
“Now there are distinctive varieties and distributions of endowments (gifts, [extraordinary powers distinguishing certain Christians, due to the power of divine grace operating in their souls by the Holy Spirit) and they vary, but the [Holy] Spirit remains the same. And there are distinctive varieties of service and ministration, but it is the same Lord [Who is served]. And there are distinctive varieties of operation [of working to accomplish things], but it is the same God Who inspires and energizes them all in all. But to each one is given the manifestation of the [Holy] Spirit [the evidence, the spiritual illumination of the Spirit] for good and profit,” 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (AMPC).
“”How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying,” 1 Corinthians 14:26.
“Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,” 1 Corinthians 14:29-32 (NKJV).
