Shepherd Of The Flock
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Shepherd Of The Flock
Oh Jesus, Shepherd of the Flock
Overseer of the lambs grazing the hills
His Ever-Watchful Eye upon them
His attentive care seeing to their needs
Look! Over yonder:
He gathers the lambs with His Arm,
And carries them in His Bosom,
And gently leads those that are with young.
He takes them to cool streams
They drink and are refreshed
They grow and prosper
They bask in the morning sun
And rest in the noon day shade
Look! Over yonder:
How they strengthen in stature,
Yet always remain near their Ever-Faithful Shepherd
Oh humble flock, your LORD is always near
Oh gentle flock, your LORD orders your steps
Oh trustful flock, your LORD’s Voice is leading you
To green pastures of peace and safety
Do you hear His Ever-Faithful Voice calling?
Oh Jesus, Shepherd of the Flock
He keeps them free from snares
He keeps their feet from crevassed rock
He keeps them clear of miry pits
And tangled thorn brush
At night He gathers close His Flock
Making sure none go astray
Making sure predators are kept at bay
Oh humble flock, your LORD is always near
Oh gentle flock, your LORD orders your steps
Oh trustful flock, your LORD’s Voice is leading you
To green pastures of peace and safety
Do you hear His Ever-Faithful Voice calling?
Oh Shepherd of the Flock
Not one lamb slips through His Hands
Oh Shepherd of the Flock
His Lambs rest ever so peacefully with Him
Oh humble flock, your LORD is always near
Oh gentle flock, your LORD orders your steps
Oh trustful flock, your LORD’s Voice is leading you
To green pastures of peace and safety
Do you hear His Ever-Faithful Voice calling?
Oh Jesus, Shepherd of the Flock
The Ever-Faithful Shepherd
Overseer of the lambs grazing the hills
Look! Over yonder:
His Lambs rest ever so peacefully with Him!
