Sensitivity Will Lead to Victory
Sensitivity is more than just responding to hot or cold, breezes, sunshine or rain.
It is more than seeing the colors of the rainbow, or noticing the difference when the clouds cover the sun.
Sensitivity has to do with keenness in responding to a Voice that has been purposely so soft, you have to train yourself in your spirit to realize what you are really hearing.
The still, small Voice is the Voice that Elijah suddenly heard after the winds were breaking the rocks together and the fire storm that was consuming everything around him, and the earthquake that shook the foundations of the mountain he was standing on.
“What are you doing here, Elijah?”
He was being spoken to by the Angel of The LORD.
He ran from the threat of Jezebel, yet after all he experienced, The LORD met him at the mouth of the cave on the mountain.
Everything you have tried to resist in your own strength, running and hiding for your life is the chaos your adversary uses to keep you from hearing The LORD’s Voice.
It is time for you to start to recognize where all of this is coming from.
God is not the author of confusion — but of Peace.
You have been given the weapons to destroy the source of the chaos that has chased you and prevented you from succeeding in your walk with The LORD.
Now you are able to do far more, because The LORD, Who dwells in you, is able to do far more than we could ask or think because of His power that is at work in you.
He is your victory in the place of seeming defeat.
Trust is a very important weapon of your warfare against your enemy, the devil.
Since you have been saved, he has absolutely nothing on you. You have been made free by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Jesus has given you the receipt for the payment of your sins.
You are now, through the blood of the Lamb, more than a conqueror, because of Him Who loves you.
Your sensitivity will give you victory, and power to walk in the Spirit of The LORD.
Amen.
The LORD Speaks to Elijah
“There he came to a cave and lodged in it. And behold, the word of The LORD came to him, and he said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
He said, “I have been very jealous for The LORD, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword, and I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.” And he said, “Go out and stand on the mount before The LORD.”
And behold, The LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before The LORD, but The LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but The LORD was not in the earthquake.
And after the earthquake a fire, but The LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.
And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
He said, “I have been very jealous for The LORD, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword, and I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.”
And The LORD said to him, “Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus. And when you arrive, you shall anoint Hazael to be king over Syria. And Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint to be king over Israel, and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint to be prophet in your place.
And the one who escapes from the sword of Hazael shall Jehu put to death, and the one who escapes from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha put to death. Yet I will leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”” Kings 19:9-18.
