Someone recently quoted the wise old Solomon as saying that “there is nothing new under the sun.”

Here is the problem we face with many of our belief systems.

He said that in his lifetime, relating to the fact that he has rarely seen mankind change, and he has rarely seen anything ‘new’ on earth, either in man or in the ways of man and also not in the world around him, even though he had conversed with so many different cultures and peoples of the world.

If we had to take Solomon’s proverb into the realm of spirituality though, we would have to rip out the whole New Testament! Because a lot sure did change under the Son!

Although someone spoke something under inspiration at some time, does not make it the gold standard for all time.

That is why Scripture, although inspired and although very good to learn from and for correction etc, can never be branded to be THE WORD OF GOD, as though it is there to be followed.

There was a time when it was the lamp unto men’s feet. There also came a time when the TRUE LIGHT came into the world — The Light that lights every man.

Just as it was needed for God to have messengers through whom He spoke in every generation to make His Voice heard, so He still needs for His people to follow His present Voice — To hear the Holy Spirit and to be led of the Holy Spirit.

That is why the WORD IS GOD HIMSELF — It is contained in Him as Spirit and it is released from Him as Life to those who would hear the Holy Spirit speaking!

We can never follow letter — when we do, we are sure to err, just as the Jews erred when the Spirit came to speak Living Words through Jesus, which they could not reconcile with the Law.

We stand to make the great mistake Peter made when commanded by the Holy Spirit to do something that nullified the rules and The Law he had grown up to strictly adhere to.

He responded with a “NO LORD”, a complete oxymoron (contradiction!), using NO and LORD in the same sentence — How can you say “no” and call Him Lord at the same time?

The Holy Spirit had to set him right and make it clear that He Himself is not subject to any letter or Law, but that He indeed is the LIVING WORD!

Jesus came to reconcile the Holy Spirit (The Spirit of God) within us, why would you need more than Him and His Living Voice, except if we are where Peter was, doubting! Or cannot hear Him at all!

We have to GROW. Even beyond or arguments and excuses!

Another wise man also said, “So long as you contend for your weaknesses, you will get to keep them”

Let us choose to acknowledge that we were saved to become Spiritual Sons, led by the Spirit in the Spirit of Truth,

When we enter this life, we will bear Spiritual fruit, because of the Spirit truly being Alive in us and in living demonstration through us!

GOD IS ALIVE!
