Seeking Water in a Dry and Thirsty Land
This afternoon I was meditating upon The Lord, and God began to say that the people are seeking water in a dry and thirsty land! My God, my God!
Time to let your hair down; you are dry and need hydration!
As I began asking The Lord what this meant. He began to talk to me and to tell me that many of you are in need of water! (the word of God, the holy spirit, salvation).
You see, God revealed to me that the children of Israel had no water and they began to complain and to murmur to both Moses and Aaron, because of there lack! Are you in lack?
When is the last time you praised and worshiped God until you felt it from the belly? You see, water hydrates the body and provides life and a refreshing to both the body and mind of the individual who drinks; but on the contrary, when one is dehydrated, one becomes dizzy, (can’t think or lacks concentration) extremely thirsty, headaches, sleepy and tired, leaving even there organs to shut down unless they receive water.
Like the children of Israel who began to panic and accusing Moses of bringing them up out of Egypt to an evil place that lacked seed, figs, and or vines because there was no water present to grow anything to eat!
But, Moses and Aaron took the complaints of the people to God letting him know what the people were saying! Moses and Aaron fail upon their faces like a lot of God’s servants do whom he has called to: preach, teach, and to minister to the people of God when there is a problem and no solution! And like always God provided a solution to and for the people of God by way of the man of God!
But, the problem is when we as servants of God do not follow God’s instructions to the fullest and when we do follow the instructions it is with a bad spirit or we do it with evil motives! However; this is when God does not get the glory and nor does he get the praise!
You see, God spoke to me to tell the people that many are feeding and providing God’s people water (the word of God, salvation/the anointing of God) but they are doing it with the wrong motives!
Many are doing it the way their ancestors did it years ago and they are failing to acknowledge God and to follow the leading of the holy spirit; instead of religion! You see, just because mom and dad did it that way does not at all mean that it is right for you in this season!
I even hear God saying that we as servants of God have to be careful the way we treat God’s sheep in the presence of God! Why?
Because, just like Moses and Aaron, you can be doing the right thing but with the wrong motives; the wrong spirit!
God told Moses and Aaron to gather the congregation together before the rock, and he said for them to speak unto the rock before the eyes of the of the children of Israel to bring forth water from the rock; so that they could give the congregation and their beast water to drink; but, instead Moses and Aaron took it upon them selves to do what they wanted to do!
You see, God knew the people was thirsty and this was both Moses and Aaron’s opportunity to show out and to demonstrate the love and the power of God in the presence of the people; instead, Moses allowed flesh to take over like many of you do whom God has called into ministry!
I hear the Holy Spirit saying that we cannot afford to take it upon ourselves to follow our own heart and mind in this season because we are bought with a price; be not the servant of men but, the servant of God, (1 Corinthians 7:3). it is God who has called you and not you your selves!
So, watch out how you demonstrate God’s love, and power in the presence of God’s people the next time you are (in the pulpit etc.) tired, feeling burnt out and frustrated! For, I hear God saying that their is no excuse; but, an excuse to allow the enemy the opportunity to get the glory! Remember, we are representatives for God and God is not pleased when we allow flesh to be glorified!
I hear The Lord saying that it is time to evaluate yourself and to ask your self are you following God’s instructions to the fullest or do you find yourself tired, burned out and speaking to God’s people any old kind a way like Moses and Aaron did when God gave them their assignment? It is time to ask God for this rivers of living water that will flow from his heart, (John 7:38)
This water that the holy spirit is talking about is for those whom will believe upon (word of God) him and as the scriptures has spoken and as a result; it will flow out of your belly like rivers of living water. Leaving you never to thirst again! (John 7:38).
God has equipped the servants of God to help you to obtain it, but it is up to you to receive it just as the children of Israel did! But, those whom he has chosen to help you obtain it must be careful that they follow God’s instructions to the “t” in this season; unless, they themselves be tempted to disobey leaving them in a dry and thirsty land!
