Seeking Him
Serving him is an important qualification to seeking him. A servant’s heart is an important attribute to carry, it will speaks to us concerning how we deal with others with a understanding of being in covenant with God. We begin to set our priorities on living a life that is pleasing to him. Delighting ourselves to obey him with a willing heart is also very key to seeking His face.
Attitude has everything to do with aptitude. Seeking and understanding the higher things of God will make us accountable in what we say and do, even to whom we are in relationship with. David told God through his Psalms that his heart was fixed, he was convinced in his willingness to serve him and obeying him. David speaks to Solomon:
1 Chronicles 28:9 “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever.”
Two key Hebrew words: shalem – serving him and keeping covenant with him. The other one was nephesh -carrying a willing mind, delighting in obedience to God to the point of controlling appetites and the seat of desires. Excellent formula a servants heart and keeping covenant with him + carrying a willing mind—delighting to obey him by controlling the flesh. = this the right spirit to have in order to seek him.
