Seek The LORD While He May Be Found!
Seek The LORD while He may be found —
He can always be found!
“Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near,” Isaiah 55:6.
I have thought about this verse several times before and it has made me wonder. However, I have seen some things that make me consider it in a different way. We are told to seek the LORD, while He may be found. But the truth of the matter is that He can ALWAYS be found. He is always near. The problem I think that arises is that WE may not always “want” to be found.
Perhaps the problem is that we become too busy in our lives. We aren’t seeking Him, and then it may seem to us that He is not near, when actually He is.
Psalm 139 makes it very clear to us that He can find us no matter where we might be upon this earth:
Thou hast searched me and known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising; Thou understandest my thought afar off.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue, but lo, O LORD, Thou knowest it altogether.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid Thine hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?
Now, is our Lord trying to escape from our presence? Is He flying off to some unknown solar system so that He doesn’t have to deal with our petty ways?
The answer of course, is No. He is ever patient and unchanging, and yet it is our sins that separate us from Him. He wants us to come to Him always. And so, in that respect, He is always there. He can always be found.

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the Lord is a special way in 1975 and has been prophesying regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are to be reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
