Seasons of Spiritual Warfare and The Great Physician
We all go through seasons of Spiritual Warfare.
The Holy Spirit gave me this awesome Word today, after a battle this week. On Thursday night I had physical condition that required immediate medical attention.
I was seen by a doctor in the ER who examined me and ran a series of tests. Although it was an unpleasant ordeal, I find that these grueling trials make us stronger.
I jokingly say, that the enemy already used up just about all of his ammunition on me so he will eventually run out.
I was seen by a Jewish physician who introduced himself to me by his last name only. (Which I won’t mention). I sensed his gentle demeanor as soon as I met him. He was kind and compassionate and proficient in his field.
This was the first time I met him so I had no idea what his first name was. It wasn’t until last night that I read the release papers and test results and saw his full name.
His first name is Yehoshua. I thought to myself, isn’t that Yeshua which also means Jesus in English?
I began to do some research and I found that the meaning of the name Yehoshua means “God is Deliverance”
It also means Joshua in Hebrew. The name Joshua actually was derived from the Hebrew name יְהוֹשֻׁעַ “Yehoshua” Joshua also means “God is Salvation,” and Jesus’ name in Hebrew is “Yeshua” which then translates to English as Joshua.
Yeshua in Hebrew is a verbal derivative from “to rescue” or “to deliver.” Joshua was the Israelite leader who succeeded Moses and led the Israelites into the Promised Land.
I was so blessed when I read this.
The LORD will give us signs to assure us that He is with us in dark times. He will also give us amazing encounters if we simply stay in fellowship with him.
I remember several years ago when I was learning to hear God’s Voice, one day I found $126.00 in cash folded up in the street.
There were high winds that day, and I couldn’t understand how this money didn’t blow away. I knew that there was a deeper meaning behind it and that God was speaking through this.
When I went home that day I looked up Psalm 126. Verse one says:
“When The LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing.”
It goes on to say in verse 5:
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”
This scripture had prophetic significance, so it also applies for us today. Those of you who have been sowing in tears for such a long time are about to reap in joy.
The LORD says, “For those of you who have been through fiery trials are about to receive a breakthrough. Your time of weeping is coming to an end, and your time of rejoicing will begin.
Your deliverance is imminent and your mouths will surely be filled with laughter, and your tongues with songs of joy.
I AM about to release you from the burdens that have been weighing you down, and free you from the hardships and afflictions that you have endured for so long. I AM Yeshua, your great physician.
You will find that the adversity that you’ve encountered only drove you deeper into your purpose and destiny.
Don’t allow discouraging thoughts to imprison you any longer, but allow Me to turn everything around in your favor.
You have not been created to carry burdens, but I have created you to be a carrier of My glory. As you spend time in My presence, and allow it to overtake you, then My joy will be your strength.
As you continue to press in and take Me for My Word, even through difficult times you will soon encounter a time of rejoicing.
I will release you from the hurtful memories from the past that brought pain and sorrow. I will set you free from the things that war against your soul that brought fear and confusion.
This is a time of refreshing to those of you who have been weary. Don’t allow anything to deter you of this joy set before you.
I will bring comfort and restoration to your soul. I will give you beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning.
I will give you a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness.
You will live out your days in victory because your time of deliverance is here.
And just as I told Joshua, I say to you: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for The LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” says The LORD.
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore,” Psalm 16:11.
“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever,” Psalm 30:11-12.
“When The LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev. Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them,” Psalm 126:1-6.
