Search Me, Oh God!
The LORD showed me a sieve (strainer). A sieve is an instrument used for separating coarser from finer particles, or for reducing soft solids to a pulp.
When straining, the unwanted material will stay in the strainer as the liquid clearly passes though. The Holy Spirit has been showing me that the body of Christ is in a time of purging.
As Spirit filled believers we have been given the privilege and the honor to be conduits of His Glory but first we must remove whatever is impure, undesirable and sinful from our lives.
He is looking for believers who are willing to repent and come clean so that He could flow through us unhindered.
He’s looking for men and women of integrity who have clean hands and pure hearts. He can’t move among us if there is sin in our lives.
Every time The LORD was about to move in miracles, signs and wonders He called the people to repentance. In the book of Exodus He told Moses to tell the people to sanctify themselves.
He then visited him at the burning bush, He led them by a pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night.
He provided manna every day, He sent ten plagues against Pharaoh. Moses parted the Red Sea and millions of the Israelites went through on dry land.
When Pharaoh and his army tried to pursue them, The LORD closed up the sea and Pharaoh and his army drowned.
After Moses had died The LORD called Joshua. He told Joshua, no man will be able to stand against you, “As I was with Moses, I will be with you!”
He then called for a repentance again telling Joshua to tell the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow The LORD will do wonders among you.”
We have also been called to ministries of miracles, signs and wonders. The eyes of The LORD are on the righteous to show Himself strong on their behalf.
King David said Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my mind and my heart. John the baptist message was to repent for The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
Jesus’ message was the same. To be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Jesus is searching for those clean vessels who will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. He is looking for those who will raise the dead.
He is looking for those who will cast out demons. He is looking for those with hearts of repentance. Not in a religious way but with a heart of submission.
Jesus is looking for those who will say: “Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts; and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139: 23-24 (ASV))
“And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow The LORD will do wonders among you,”” Joshua 3:5.
“Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart,” Psalm 26:2.
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me,” Psalm 51:10.
“For the eyes of The LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of The LORD is against those who do evil,” 1 Peter 3:12.
