School Your Thoughts
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, NKJV.
Dear Ones:
This morning I heard, “School your thoughts.” I pondered these words and considered what He meant. Then I ask Him to elaborate.
My child, you have control over your thought processes. Although the enemy will come to plant thoughts of unbelief, doubt, fear, anxiety, and worry, you do not have to agree with them or allow them to capture your attention.
I tell you that you must exercise your free will and interrupt and dismiss these types of thoughts no matter where they originate from. Your free will is non-returnable. You cannot be forced to give it up. The dark one knows this and that is why he fights so furiously against the Truth of My Gospel.
I offer freedom, life, and forgiveness to every man, woman, and child. When the Truth of My Word sets off the spark of hope and life in the heart of a lost one and he/ she calls on My name by exercising his/her free will to choose Me as Lord, the dark one has lost another one to the Light.
Even the most heinous sinner, still has a free will and must continually choose the darkness over the Light to stay a child of the evil one.
The enemy always tries to reclaim lost ground, but the free will of the believer can rise up and continually choose Life. Every day brings challenges from the darkness but as the Light progressively shines brighter in the heart of the believer, the attractions of darkness lose their luster and ability to entice and ensnare.
I tell you again, school your mind. Fill your soul with the Word of Life. Challenge your thoughts about where they are coming from. If they are not in line with My Word and My Spirit, cast them down using your free will. Exercise your right to choose and choose the Light, the Life, and Righteousness. Choose to stay with Me and to come into intimate communion with Me.
The more you exercise your free will to choose Righteousness, the greater your faith. You can only choose right if you believe that I AM Who I say I AM. Lay down your opinions and your agendas on My altar and allow the fire of My love to purify them.
Ask Me to help you discern the depth of your own soul so you might be able to distinguish between your thoughts and those that the enemy tries to implant in your mind.
In essence, I AM telling you to judge every thought by the standard of My Word. Then you can ascend to the higher ground of spiritual life and revelation that you are seeking.
Be about this work in earnest. The time is short. I release My grace and My peace to enable you to do this work to ensure a victorious outcome. Be brave, My child. I have given you the courage to walk on the higher ground. All is well. Shalom.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account,” Hebrews 4:12-13, NKJV.
