A great reminder for many…!

Satan has power….. but…. It is limited…!

I felt to share something that The Spirit of God said to me this morning as I went for a walk with my little dog.

As I was walking and talking to The Spirit of Revelation, He said these words to me, “Daughter, why is your heart not at rest? Why do you allow your mind to become distracted by worry and anxiety?

Do you not trust Me? Do you not know that I AM all knowing and all powerful?

Daughter, consider the dogs lead that you hold in your hand…. Do you see that the dog can run ahead, but that it cannot run beyond the limits that you have set for it?”

As I listened to those words, I looked at the dogs lead in my hand. I looked at my dog who was only able to run as far as I would allow him to and so I began to deeply consider what The Spirit of God was showing to me in that moment.

And then He continued to speak to me saying, “Daughter, as you consider this, know that this is like the enemy.

He can surely roam and run ahead and he can surely wreak havoc in the lives of many unbelievers who are ignorant and walking in sin and also that of believers who are walking in known sin, for these things (sin) give Satan permission.

But! Know this! Satan has power and freedom to roam and run just like your dog, but it is limited power and freedom, for I have set boundaries around the enemy.

Do you not know that Satan is a created being while I AM infinite?

I have no creator. I have no beginning and no end. I have all power and all authority. For truly I tell you, I AM, that I AM, that I AM”.

Repentance…!

Now as I listened intently and I soberly considered what The Spirit of Revelation was revealing to me, I was deeply convicted of the sin of unbelief and fear in my life.

I repented of my sin and asked for forgiveness and I asked The Holy Spirit to teach me to walk blamelessly before The LORD…!

“He” sets the boundaries…!

After I repented, I remained pondering and meditating on what The Spirit of Revelation had showed me.

I began to see so clearly that just like my dog on its lead, it has the ability to run ahead and to roam, but its power and freedom is under my control,

I tell my dog when to come and when to go, my dog does not control me, but I control my dog. And so it is with the my Father and with the enemy, my Father has full control over the enemy, He determines the boundary lines and sets them out, He determines the limit of power and freedom that Satan has.

Satan is a created being, not an infinite being like God…!

Satan has power but he is not all powerful. He is the god of this world and those who give him power through their ignorance and sin have had their eyes blinded to the truth that they have given Satan full control, rather than them being the ones that are in control over the enemy.

Now as believers, we have been given by and through the power of The Holy Spirit all authority and power over the enemy.

We are no longer Satan’s slaves, but we are blood bought sons and daughters who are called to rule and reign in the earth, fully authorised by God to set boundaries around the enemy in the earth.

Consider Job…!

Just in the last few days, The Spirit of Revelation has been speaking to me about the life of Job (a righteous man).

Satan had to get permission from God to touch his life, and so it is with us as sons and daughters.

Satan cannot touch our lives without permission, if we are walking righteously before The LORD.

However, it is vital to remember that Satan has full permission to traffic in areas of sin and darkness, and so it is important that we stay alert and always guard our heart from sin..!

Satan is an instrument in God’s Hand for restoration and redemption..!

Lastly, what I was reminded of today by The Spirit of Revelation was that not only is Satan a created being with limited power, but that He is an instrument in the hand of God for restoration and redemption in His Kingdom, just like we see in the life of Job.

What a comfort to know that the parameters of what the enemy can do is determined by the Hand of our God!

Satan is a defeated foe. He is not equal to God on any level…. So why do we fret, worry and allow the enemy to steal our faith, power and peace?!

Fear not and trust God!

Satan is defeated. God has unlimited power…!
