RUN……….. THE RACE TO ……..”WIN”

Strip off ALL unnecessary weights that would drag you down and cause you to be SLOW and fail to win the race.

The weight for a real runner in a race would be improper clothing and wrong kind of shoes, improper diet [foods you eat] and improper training.

A real racer would DO ALL by removing everything that hinders him or keeps him from being FAST.

So, as Children of God who are RUNNING THE HEAVENLY RACE, what is it that will most definitely keep you from running with victory? What will SLOW YOU DOWN?

Answer: The SINS of the FLESH!

Sin can keep you lagging behind. Sin can keep you SLOW. Sin can cause you to fail to win.

Sins of the flesh that are so very easy to pick up and approve. These sins are….. unnecessary, and will only cause you grief and sorrow. The sorrow of losing.

Many are watching you run. Many even Heavenly ones watch over the balcony of Heaven to see you run! Do you care what they see?

Then clean up your life so you can run with joy!

A good place to start cleaning house is by comparing your life to Jesus Christ [what kind of man he was and how he lived]. He is the one to look at…………… He is a winner!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].
Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart,” Hebrews 12:1-3.
