“Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38
When I discovered the meaning of the names of the rivers in Eden, I was so encouraged.
You see, I believe these rivers are symbolic of the spiritual path in which each must travel through in our spiritual journey.
To find these Rivers, we must battle past the enemy and have courage to persevere over our trials and tribulation.
These deep and intimate waters burst forth over the hearts of every believer who enters this broad river of The Father’s unconditional Love. It’s a divine intimacy with the power of The Holy Spirit.
The Pishon River
The Pishon River is the first among the named that stem from the division of the river found in The Garden.
The word Pishon means increase. The Farther imparts an “Increase” within your spirit through His Rivers of Pishon.
His Word tells us of the particular abundance found in the land the Pishon River as it is encompassed with both bdellium and onyx: “…the gold of the land is good; bdellium and onyx stone are there” (Genesis 2:12).
Both bdellium and onyx are found within the tree of life.
The Father is ready to make a BIG move for those seeking His Presence. Many many of his enslaved are being set free. Recently, I witnessed 2 believers set FREE of fear! Hallelujah!
I believe this is the harvest spoken of in Matthew 13, Luke 8 and Mark 4:26-29.
“He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain — first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” Revelation 12:26-29
We are told the enemy knows his time is short, because his tricks only work until we learn to crucify our flesh and closed every open door of unforgiveness.
Once we know and admit to our ungodly sin within our hearts, we have unity with Christ and dwell day and night in the shadow of the Most High. Our enemy’s license to torment is cut off and our harvest begins.
“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” Revelation 10:10-12
This is when our enemy takes things up a notch by working in the world or among our families and friends to drive us back to him!
For example, this week a couple of banks closed creating a fear frenzy in the media. If we take a closer look at these banks we find they were investment banks not the sort of bank we use.
This economic storm report was designed to give our enemy authority and access. Our fear says, ” we do not have faith” that Yahweh will protect us in our storms.
Glen Beck has a fabulous video explaining the bank issue and how it is not an economic storm, but a way to provoke fear. I have posted a link here.
This week while feeling the fear of the banking system, I immediately took a soak in His River. When we have fear, oppression takes hold.
To combat the oppression we must immediately seek the Father. I began asking Our King what should I post for encouragement and The Father said, “Stay in Ephesus”.
For those of you who are not familiar with Ephesus; there is a city called Ephesus and a Church of Ephesus. This is the first spirit filled church we recently read about in The Book of Acts.
The City of Ephesus was a wicked city full of political and social pressures, immorality, demonic worship activity and witchcraft.
I imagine it was very much like what we experience today in our world. The followers of Christ or Church of Ephesus could only withstand the pressures by abiding in the power of The Holy Spirit.
The Church of Ephesus is one of the seven lampstands mentioned in the book of Revelation. The believers of Ephesus were hard working with great fortitude for truth and carried the light of Jesus.
Their persistence, purity and diligence for sound doctrine made them gate keepers of The LORD’s Truth. They were not compromised by evil doers, but chose to love and be patient with sinners.
During this time, the city of Ephesus was filled with wicked darkness, very much like what we are facing today in our world as believers.
Apostle Paul in the Book of Acts, Chapters 18-21, tells them to protect against future problems or misconceptions by encouraging the Ephesians to mature in their faith while living in a very dark world.
Our LORD Jesus appears to John in the Book of Revelation telling him that the spiritual assessment would begin with him and the people of God under His Spiritual care in Ephesus.
The mystery of The Seven Stars that you saw in my right hand and of The Seven Golden Lampstands is this: The Seven Stars are the Angels of The Seven Churches, and The Seven Lampstands are The Seven Churches. (Revelation 1:20)
Jesus has the ability to place his hand around all the Seven Churches at once. He has the power to grasp or hold fast these Churches with total control.
None would slips through his fingers. He held them in his right hand, the hand of power and of rule.
“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among The Seven Golden Lampstands.” Revelation 2:1
It also means that The Church that submits to His Control, will be continually secured and purified by His loving Care.
He goes on to says he “walks among” The Churches by patrolling the grounds, and is on the spot when needed. We can be assured that he will protect us and guide us in our dark world.
An awareness of this truth is so needed today!
This is for us today… if we are His Citizens that live in fear of the world and the devils who runs it, we begin to lose our salt and light [lampstand].
We must return to the spiritual reality that Jesus is LORD of His Church and He hold us firmly in His Hand and walks around us, moment by moment.
At this point in Revelation, the Church of Ephesus needs The LORD’s assessment because they are being swallowed up by duty rather than their first Love.
Jesus begins to speak words of encouragement, courage, correction and promise to the Ephesians believers.
“I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.” Revelation 2:2-3
The believers in Ephesus were not working for The LORD with hope of gaining salvation, no they were saved, they were working for the fruits of their salvation.
They knew to choose the power of The Holy Spirit to gain the many opportunities God had placed before them each day.
Jesus says, “I know and see your perseverance, hard work and all you have endured for My Name [hardship] and not grown weary.” These believers were also very good at correcting false doctrines. They called out false prophets!
Jesus continues to encourage them in the midst of severe attacks from the government, the surrounding community as well as some within The Church.
They have endured hardships and mocking, because they gave their heart to Jesus, instead of giving into the pressure to worship the Romans and Greeks gods.
Again, doesn’t this sound like our world today?
In the midst of all the happenings of their city, they had grown physically, emotionally and spiritually weary and sought ways to serve Jesus with good works, forgetting to seek His Presence.
After studying about The Church of Ephesus, I felt exhausted for these people, because they were so busy working for God!
Paul tells us the Church of Ephesus in the Book of Ephesians 6:24, “Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with a love incorruptible, with an undying love or an unfailing love.”
The Church of Ephesus loved The LORD with all their heart, with all their soul and strength, mind and will. However, overtime we read they became seduced by the world’s concerns and abandoned their first love.
“Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.” Revelation 2:4-5
This is what happens when we begin to worry about our world, we too abandon our first love — Jesus.
Jesus is calling us to discipline ourselves to seek His River of Divine Intimacy! He is saying…”Stay in Ephesus, seeking His Spirit of Truth” — where we sit, wait and listen for His Spirit to speak.
He is inviting each of you to enjoy the fruits of the Tree of Life in His Garden.
“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” Revelation 2:7
The promise was given by Jesus as a husband to his bride [believers] with the hope that the Ephesians, through the truth and power of The Holy Spirit, would be restored to their passionate love for Jesus.
Word from The LORD:
“Beloved, everything must be fulfilled that is written in My Word about My Son, the laws of Moses, the Book of Prophets and Psalms.
So many still unable to read My Word.
I want them to know I have sent the promise? [You can feel secure in Christ because the Holy Spirit is the seal of God’s Promise to you.]
Remain in the City of Ephesus to learn to be clothed with my power from High.
Do not cover up your iniquity, For I see everything. [Confess your sins of fear and anxiety]
Letting go of control blots out those provoking builders —– [devils of harassment]
They will flee, Leaving each in peace and in My Presence.
Simple honesty allow new walls to be built within each heart, giving way for My Work.
These walls of repair will go up Quickly, closing all gaps quashing those lil gods fighting to conspire and create hindrances.
You see, the light of My Son over throws, scatters and guards your walls restoring the splendor of Jacob, shielding your branch connected to My Vine.
Belief of My Light [Word of God] is essential.
Gaze into it…. letting My Rays of yellow and white out-shine all darkness within ones heart.
Reach out and touch it with your own hands.
Begin to testify to it!
Proclaim it for truth! [any unbelief short circuits the Holy Spirit]
For within My Light not one will taste death before entering My Kingdom Power.
It’s in this place, My Leaves of healing shall be found within My Tree of Life.
Stitching up areas within ones heart, so buried they have been unreachable until now.
Lift your arms — straight up to heaven to grasp the belief that I come to heal your land [heart].
Why do you hesitate?
Search My Word to dwell in My prosperity
Watch as your heart is no longer afflicted. Silencing devious speech of oneself and others to bring springs of life flowing from your lips.
I have My Heavenly hosts waiting with flaming swords to guard your way to My Tree of Life.
Blessed are those who keep their eyes on Me, washing their robes [confess their sins] so that they may enter My City Gates [Presence].
But the gate is narrow and the way is strait that leads away to life, leaving your worldly desires behind. . . few are willing to find it! They do not gain access to My Tree of Life where all things are possible.
I have drawn you, now step out in faith to receive My Free Gift.
Yahshua!!”
Today’s message is to encourage each of you to Worship The Father. I know it’s hard at first and even boring but when our hearts are set on Jesus, He comes.
Jesus teaches us that we are his portable sanctuaries [temple] and we are to worship in spirit and in truth. No matter what we are doing, we can take our sanctuary with us.
By doing this, all our emotions and feelings lead us to our Creator. It’s our best defense in this fallen world. Jesus points to an inner life with Yahweh that transforms our hearts and builds deep ingrained habits of virtue that this world can not access. His name is Jesus and there is power in His Name.
Do not allow the things of our world to impede your ability to adore and admire Him in all you do, wherever you go — take Jesus with you!
Shalom
Shalom
