May The LORD encourage you through this poem!

Rise Up, My Child

Sitting here wondering what comes next…
Restless in my thoughts as the world weighs heavy on my chest.
Day to day and night to night many are the problems that come to light.
It’s easy to want to lay down your sword, but rise up my child the fight is not yours.

Pick up your sword and partner with The LORD.
He is our guard and so much more!
He looks to us, to look to HIM, steady in our gaze and strong in our faith.

Yet He knows that faith is a journey and the fight may be long…
But hang on to the hand…the hand of The LORD, for fierce is His love, and mighty are His ways!
Ways we may not see. Ways we may not understand. Ways that seem too long.
But yet in it all…He simply asks us to fight the good fight of faith WITH Him.

Do not despair if you have laid down your sword or swore you are done…
God has big shoulders and knows that the fight can be won!
If your faith is in crisis, do not despair.
God came to earth that we may be spared.
Spared from our failings and from our faults. Spared from the feeling of “I just want to give up”

Now rise up my child condemnation is not your lot!
God is the God of mercy and the God of grace.
Everlasting is His love. Everlasting are His ways.
Pick up your sword and continue to partner with The LORD.
Bring your failings and your faults…and all that worries you in your thoughts.
The battle is The LORD’s…for sure it is!
He simply asks that we walk with Him.

Do NOT give up my child for God so TRULY cares for you!
Partner with The LORD in the midst of the storm!
You are not forgotten for He sees your despair.
Rise up my child, and run with The LORD, for the battle is His.
From head to toe, God loves you so!
