Rewards and Judgment
Reward for Charity and Care for the Poor — Judgement for Injustices
Jehovah loves the poor! He holds them dear to his heart and He is very compassionate about them.
He defends the poor, He is the voice of the poor and The Father is very liberal about social injustices, poverty and oppression of the poor.
The Father declares:
“The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst. I, the Lord, will answer them Myself, as the God of Israel, I will not forsake them.” Isaiah 41:17
“I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the poor.” Psalm 140:12
“Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. Yeshua’s teachings and actions exemplify a deep concern for the poor and marginalized. His ministry included healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and associating with those society deemed as outcasts.” Proverbs 14:31 NIV
And in Matthew 25, Yeshua says,
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me!” Matthew 25:40
Also. Proverbs 19:17
“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” Proverbs 19:17
Who, “for our sakes became poor, that we through his poverty might be rich”
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9
and Who regards all done to one of his poor brethren as done unto Himself. (Matthew 25:40)
Reemphasising!
He therefore will not fail to make a full compensation!
Therefore, be careful how you treat the poor among you
To those who SERVE the poor, caring for those who are marginalized or facing difficulties in The Bible we find many promises of sure reward.
The Father says, “If You Help the Poor, I Will Repay!”
Yeshua is therefore asking us to get out of our comfort zone in giving, to give not pocket change or unwanted stuff, but give our best to persons who in no way can afford to pay us back.
Engaging in acts of charity with a sincere and selfless heart, understanding that your benevolence is seen as a positive and righteous action in the eyes of The Most High and there is spiritual reward.
It’s unfortunate that we, even Christians, tend to look at the poor and needy as low class and many use languages that reinforces stereotypes, stigmatizes individuals, or minimizes their conditions such as freeloaders, bottom feeders, paupers and dependents just because they don’t speak our economic languages, and even deem them as not worthy of even relating with.
But ABBA Yah specifically COMMANDS us to help the stranger, the alien, the sojourner.
That means, the poor can be from any class, culture or creed…
Yeshua spoke, that the ones we need to help are not those “like you!” Some of us tend to be extremely prejudice and choose to treat those we think can help us in life better and with more respect than those who cannot.
We will answer to the Most High for that… look at what us happening in countries where the poor is oppressed?
Judgement!
What we fail to understand, is just as there are rewards for SERVING the poor, there are also consequences for those who neglect, exploit, ostracize, victimize and oppress them, and often we find that it is persons who are full pride who are the perpetrators — and that’s why the Most High Yah detests pride.
“Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food, and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy. Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them when I saw it.” Ezekiel 16:9
“The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully……
……. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God..” Ezekiel 22:29,31 KJV
The book of James 5 says this profoundly,
“Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth eaten…Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and with you have withheld, cries out against you; and the outcry of the harvesters has reached the ears of the Lord of SABAOTH. You have lived luxuriously on earth and led a life of wanton pleasure ; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.” James 5:1-5
Luke 16 also tells us about the rich man and Lazarus, how Lazarus treated the poor man when they were alive and the tables turned in the poor mans favorl when they both died.
““There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.” Luke 16:19-25
Many individuals and countries (governments and leaders) even the church, will suffer gravely for their mistreatment and mishandling of the poor.
Sodom wasn’t only destroyed because of sexual immorality, but because of oppression of the poor, the injustice!
In the workplace, an employer will pay more wage to someone who can afford to or privileged to travel different places, or is from a so called richer background as opposed to a person who is of humble beginnings and struggling.
They are treated with contempt and consider them of unworthy of high wage no matter how hard they work.
A man who is rich will treat a women of a high-calibre economically, better than he treats a poor girl.
We ought to cease from marginalising and sin limiting sin to just fornication. Repent and turn from our wicked ways..
What we have or believe we own does not belong to us! Naked we came into this world, naked we return!
“But whoever has the world’s goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?” 1 John 3:17
Questions
When was the last time you called a brother or sister with children to feed and ask how best you can assist them?
Have you ever considered a poor in your community to feed — even sacrifice your dinner?
I have seen even the Spirit of mammon in The Church.
This me, me, me, attitude! “More Money – my needs!” attitude SELFISH — and I believe the Holy One of Israel is sore displeased…
A few verses to consider,
Leviticus 19:15, Acts 2:44, Ephesians 4:28, Galatians 2:9 and Matthew 6:24
God bless you
For any poor among us may ABBA Yah change your story for His Glory!
“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.” Psalm 12:5

Amen so true
Wow, so beautifully said.
Straight from Jesus Christ ‘s heart. It’s so sad and cruel from Christians who choose to ignore and pass by the poor
Sometimes we get so much persecutions when we care for the poor but God surely has a wonderful plan for them because he is able , more than able. He is looking for those who have the right heart, non judgmental and loving.
Thank you sister
