Revival and Reformation
REVIVAL always = REFORMATION (being remade in our thinking, actions and behaviour, because of being transformed in our inner-man to be brought into harmony and in alignment with the Father’s heart.)
Reformation
The process of REFORMATION also involves allowing the deconstruction of our own man-made opinions and ideas.
In 2014 the Holy Spirit began speaking in my heart about the deconstruction of “church” as we have come to know it, to be reformed (or returned into its original state and design) from being an ‘establishment’, to becoming a community.
We began the process by being led to form informal fellowship gatherings where the Holy Spirit was given free Reign in our midst to lead us in our meetings, and where our meetings became ALL ABOUT HIM.
We did not want anything to happen that was not directly led of the Spirit.
As a result we found the normal “program” of “church” being disrupted and overturned to be replaced with the sweet Aroma of His Presence moving in the lives of His people.
We saw His Power and heard the Word ministered in a dimension of Revelation that has been long lost by the tradition of dogmatic church.
In addition we discovered each other as people. Individuals that mattered.
As we were transformed, God’s Love began to flow, and we began caring for each other’s needs and bearing each other’s burdens.
Church became everything God had intended it to be, a nameless community or “fellowship of believers”, who gathered together, with Him being the very reason and essence of every meeting and being central in all that happened (Him being in true and authentic ministry to His people).
A community in touch with Christ and with another, daily growing and being changed and transformed into the rhythms of His heart.
Today, this community is still gathering together, and has since extended across multiple locations in different places and areas.
It continues to grow and to expand, all across our land and from it new fellowships are born in new locations providing a new and fresh experience to those who hunger and thirst to be quenched by a Living Encounter with a Living God!
The wonder of this is that the Holy Spirit Himself is leading the growth in the most organic way.
When I released the first believers from our first Fellowship of Believers after a year of being imparted by the Holy Spirit and His Word, (to go and allow God to use them to impart others also), five fellowships were established from the group.
Today ONE of those individuals is overseeing five fellowships by himself!
The beauty of it all is that I do not even know the names of those who now are a part of those new fellowships!
The Holy Spirit has taken control over His Own work, not to be manipulated, “branded” or controlled, and not to be organized into another religious ordeal.
Fellowship of the Believers is what it’s name declares it to be – an informal gathering of ordinary believers seeking the impartation and the leading of the Holy Spirit, who are hungry for His Life, His Presence and His Word, and that is all it will ever be.
As we see more and more people seeking the authentic experience of being the true body of Christ on earth that are built together as His place of dwelling, we also see Fellowship of the Believers as a network family of fellowships growing across South Africa and joining hands with another to become the authentic gathering of the visible body of Christ, right here in our beautiful land, nestled on the southern shores of Africa.
Revival
Revival does not begin in what I can do for you or what I have to say to you, it begins in my own brokenness before God, and out my own brokenness, God can come to minister His brokenness in you also.
Revival does not happen when great men arise to preach, revival is the fruit of men and women who humbled themselves to be broken in deep surrender before the Throne of God!
It is not those who have the answers that move Heaven, it is those who have no answers, who look to God in complete surrender, total obedience and utter dependency!
