Return Unto Me!
“Return Unto Me…. and I will return unto you!” That’s what God said to His People.
He has not changed and that is clearly what He is saying today.
The thing we most desperately need to think about, is just what is it we need to return to now? First love?
We know that; not that we have truly addressed that fully. In too many places, we may have kind of… just left that hanging…. That would require a much deeper look.
Many know of the condition of much of the Body of Christ that we see — living so far less than the potential we once had; or could have even now — far from the fullness we once heard spoken of; that completion in The LORD we were designed and meant to have.
I remember Paul writing to one particular Church. He said, “You ran well! What hindered you?”
Are we hungry and serious enough now to answer those questions?
Down through the years, many of our groups claimed one certain scripture; it was “ours.” It began by saying, “If My People, which are called by My Name . . . ”
The first thing we had to do, was humble ourselves, and pray.
It makes sense, hoping not to sound curt, that this is the first thing we must also do now.
“And seek My Face….” Is it possible that some are not seeking His Face?
It stands to reason, that if we were doing so, we could not possibly use all our own programs.
I recall The LORD asking me to address this some years back. I must be honest, that it wasn’t received well.
I read again today about some men who came to sit before the prophet. They wanted him to give them, “a Word from The LORD.”
God told the prophet, that these people were full of idols and that they had no business seeking a Word from Him. These things had caused them to become “estranged” from Him, separated, and at a distance. Not close, as those who love one another.
Not every “word” is a blessing. There was a condition to the healing of their land. It’s the part most don’t want to hear now. “And turn from their wicked ways….”
How could we turn from something, if we don’t even know what that something is?
I think we do know what some of those things are. I believe many of us knew back then.
Do we want true revival?
Do we honestly seek to be part of a great work in this last time?
Are we willing to re-examine our “ways,” look at some of the past?
We were not the only group of people with the “Truth.”
The Spirit is truth, and there were others who had the Spirit, even though we thought they didn’t, basically, because they did not believe exactly as we did; or what we had been told!
The act of demanding almost blind obedience, must be a form of this wickedness.
Not teaching people to search out their own soul salvation, and to know His Word for themselves, was and is wrong. Crippling the ministries set in the Church, is also.
After speaking to the Church, the one which thought it had so much, Jesus remains at the door, knocking.
What is it that the Church needs to repent of today? Is it pride, self-righteous attitudes?
Could it be the desire for ear-tickling, or God forbid, entertainment and light shows and smoke screens?
To attempt to substitute the genuine move of the Holy Ghost?
Church politics?
Loving pleasures and other things, more than God?
How have we been somewhat blinded? Because in too many things, we have.
What must we return to? What is it?

Lyrics
‘Home’ as performed by Kobi Marimi
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-ooh
Caught up in this moment ’til my heartbeat stops
I’ve been running barefoot to the mountain tops
Nothing comes as easy as it goes
I can hug the water when it snows
I feel the sun upon my skin
And I am someone, I am someone
You pulled my heart, I took it in
It made me someone, I am someone
And now I’m done, I’m coming home
I used to listen to the way they talk
Counting down the minutes from the ticking clock
I feel the sun upon my skin
And I am someone, I am someone
You pulled my heart, I took it in
It made me someone, I am someone
And now I’m done, I’m coming
Home was so far, collecting scars, I refuse
Another touch won’t be another bruise
I feel the sun upon my skin
And I am someone, I am someone
You pulled my heart, I took it in
It made me someone, I am someone
I am standing tall not giving in
‘Cause I am someone, I am someone
And now I’m done, I’m coming
Now I’m done, I’m coming
Now I’m done, I’m coming home
