Return to the Tower of Babel
“They said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth,” Genesis 11:4.
Many in this world have striven to make a name for themselves, and most who have been successful in business, typically put themselves first above everyone else, to achieve that aim.
We see this in the scripture identified above, in how some strove to build this great tower that would reach to the clouds. As we know, God confounded them with various languages, and soon afterwards, chaos was ensued, and the great structure fell to the ground, and the people were scattered.
When I hear some say that they will make a nation great, that they have been very successful, and that they can do anything, it reminds me of this ancient tower of Babel and how many gathered together to achieve this end. And to be sure, to achieve in the world of commerce, politics, or as a CEO, then this probably is the way to achieve that goal.
But to be great in the goods of this world is diametrically opposed to the standards of being a follower of Christ.
In the Kingdom of God, up is usually down, and down is up. To be great in the Kingdom of God, one is called to be a servant. Even John the Baptist had said that he wasn’t even worthy to untie His (Christ’s) sandals.
Everything in this world in which we live is about making something great and wonderful, and the means of getting to this greatness is by putting ourselves and our own agendas first. We want to be successful and to thrive in this world of ours. To be financially secure and prosperous is not a bad thing, just as living in poverty doesn’t make one more spiritual.
We have examples of great men of faith who were also wealthy, but their “success” lay in their ability to trust God above all else, even when they couldn’t see the outcome.
Rome had reached a pinnacle of greatness at one time in history, but eventually the fires burned and the despotic ruler Nero, was seen playing his violin while the once great city was burning.
I believe that the nation in which I live, is very much like Rome was before it fell. For nearly 500 years Rome was the greatest super power of its time until it fell in the fourth century.
Economic troubles, slave labor, wars with surrounding regions, and a host of other issues, helped bring about this fall.
I believe that we are in a state of decline and that the tower of America will crumble to the ground. For in attempting to reach any height of greatness, without realizing where that greatness would come from, brings about a great fall. Judgment has begun in this land, and it will intensify as the months and years come.
In 1995 the Lord gave me this Word about this very subject:
THE TOWER OF BABEL RENEWED
“The spirit of division has come upon this nation [The United States of America]. What was once a land of unity, has now been replaced by the hand of brother against brother; sister against sister. A man’s foes will be those of his own household. You are a nation that is in need of repair… You are a body who is in need of repair.
Even as the tower of Babel scattered many unto their own lands, so many of you have gone into their own lands. It is not the color of a man’s skin that makes him a child of the King, but it is through the working of my Spirit.
I see this everywhere – Your churches are not truly one in Me. Do you think that I will accept your gifts that you bring to Me?
First, go to that one whom you have a grievance against, then I will accept that which you bring to Me. In order for you to rise up against the things in this land you must be joined together with your brothers and sisters that come from many different cultures. For I have created each of you in you own way; male and female, black and white, young and old.
For in Me, there is neither Jew or Greek, male nor female, Scythian or slave. For I look onto the inward appearance of the heart, and not the color of a man’s skin. I AM doing a work in these last days;
I desire that the walls of prejudice come down,
I desire that the walls of tradition come down.
These walls must come down first, before that wall of my Spirit is built. Then I will truly rejoice in My creation, and the races will show forth My glory.
Let your world not be a tower of babel, but rather, work together as one man doing the work of ministry.”
“But we have this tower that we can still come to; it rises higher than any clouds could ever reach. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe,” Proverbs 18:10.

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has been prophesying regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are to be reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Good word thanks for posting this.
