Return to God’s Word! — 5 Comments

  1. One of the best articles my brother I have yet to read. A most powerful Word of divine warning. God bless you.

I loved:”Every denomination is based upon man’s own interpretation of God’s Word — that’s why God hates denominationalism!

This is why there’s such a shaking coming to the Church and to the world!”

Let us arose and truly be the Church!

  2. But surely going back to the Word will be pointless if you continue to read into it what you have been taught it means? Surely you have to somehow first entertain the notion that what you think you know is actually wrong?

I often wonder if children and young adults will lead revival simply because they don’t have this baggage to unlearn.

I asked someone to show me where to find scriptures for the evangelical beliefs about modern day Jews and Israel, because I could not find it in scripture myself. Having been given the verses, this still does not make sense to me. To me, it appears that an awful lot has been hung off a few verses and that it does not fit scripture as a whole.

I asked you about the second coming. You just dismissed the question telling me that the view that Jesus returned to the mount of olives at the sacking of Jerusalem does not stand up to critical thinking. So I went and looked up the counter arguments and found that they don’t stand up to critical thinking. So now I don’t know what to think. But I am baffled as to why Josephus is thought to be accurate, but not in this.

I am just trying to find out what the truth is. What scripture really means – by approaching it with an open mind.

Having said all this, I am finding “The Unseen Realm” by Michael Heiser very helpful in understanding scripture. This book examines the meanings of the original words. It is about the world view of the ancient Israelites.
Sometimes I am finding it difficult to get my head around it because it conflicts with my world view – and with what I thought I knew.
