Keep watch! Guard ourselves! These are the warnings that have been ringing in my ears. In recent years, the Lord has revealed to me, time and time again, in my prayer about His 2nd coming. The Bible points out to us the times in which we live, guiding us by the signs and happenings in the world we live in. In my prayers during the past 3 weeks, our eternal God has led me more specifically to the same theme through His Word. On July 25th, the Lord spoke to me in my prayer through Revelation 8, 9 & 10, the Seven Trumpets, leading me to the events of judgements which are only partial, as God’s final and complete judgement has yet to come.

During my prayer on July 26th, the Lord spoke to me through Luke 21: 25 – 36, “And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the Kingdom of God is near. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

The Lord has told us not to be led astray and to prepare ourselves by reading His Word, living out the teachings which we have received from it and praying fervent, consecrated prayer, so that when calamity and destruction comes, we might experience His divine grace and mercy. We are to guard ourselves against sin; be obedient and be bold in our total commitment to our King, according to His Word.

On Aug 12, the Lord spoke to me again in my prayer through 2 scriptures. The first is in Mark 13: 32 – 37, “But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come . It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. Therefore stay awake — for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning — lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”

The second scripture the Lord pointed to me in the same prayer is 1 Thessalonians 4: 15 – 18 which says, “For we say this to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not go before those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words”.

Family of God, I choose to believe that we are now living in times of the end of Age as we bear witness to the events as they unfold in the world around us. The Lord also speaks through His apostles, prophets and watchmen to warn and guide us. Over a short span of time, the Lord has spoken to me about the same theme repeatedly. This is also supported by His Living Word: Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. I would not dare to even attempt to guess “when our Lord will return.” However, I choose to believe that our gracious and merciful Lord gives us all ample time and all the resources and help through the Holy Spirit to prepare and equip us, to fulfil His calling and destiny that He has set for all.

Keep watch as our Shepherd is coming back for His flock, to fulfil the grand plan of our Heavenly Father. Keep watch!
