Respect Versus Unity
As I was meditating upon the LORD, He began to speak to me regarding the word ‘respect‘ and how that many of His People have confused this word with having to collaborate with those in the faith, who we either disagree with or we are collaborating with, in order to complete an assignment in the body of Christ!
Respect: Esteem, regard, high opinion, admiration, reverence, deference, and honor.
In this season, I believe that unity as well as reconciliation is a vital part in the Kingdom of God but it can also be come a pit for those who do not understand the difference in reconciliation and unity in the faith.
Reconciliation: (coming into agreement) comes from the Greek family of words that has its roots in allasso [ajllavssw].
The meaning common to this word group is “change” or “exchange.”
Reconciliation involves a change in the relationship between God and man or man and man.
It assumes there has been a BREAKDOWN in the relationship, but now there has been a change from a state of enmity and fragmentation to one of harmony and fellowship, (Romans 5:6-11).
Whereas, Jesus prayed that the church would walk in unity and maturity of the faith so that we would be one power voice destroying the enemy together.
That cannot take place until we learn how to respect and to value one another as being different but working as one and that self same spirit or administrations!
So, Christ prayed: and now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, (no division) as we are one, (John 17:11-23).
And, David went on to say, Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for a brethren to dwell †together in unity! That ran down upon the beard even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore, (Psalm 133:1-3).
This to David was like an anointing oil flowing from the head to the body. Something that King Saul knew nothing about! Saul failed to recognize what it was to have both respect and unity in his kingdom.
Because, he caused David to flee and to be on the run every chance he got and not only did he sin but caused Israel to sin; as well.
David on the other hand refused to touch the LORD’s anointed but he did not respect King Saul and his leadership.
How can you respect and honor someone who has killed the LORD’s high priest, and on several occasions tried to even take his life as Saul’s Armour bearer?
As I began to ponder on this, the LORD revealed to me that so many possess an office, but they have lost the respect of the people, and without the people, there can be no church.
A king cannot possess a kingdom if he has no people in his kingdom to rule!
Saul failed to realize that what he was doing to David was not only affecting him, but his entire kingdom!
For, how can two walk together accept they agree?
Respect is a great word, and David knew this and this is why the people loved him so and the women answered [one another] as they played, and said, Saul hath smitten his thousands, and David his ten thousands, (1 Samuel 18:7). Causing Saul to eye David from that day on.
David loved Saul but he did not respect him as a leader. Many of God’s people will be called to be trained under leaders you don’t respect!
Why? Because God wants you to learn what to do and not to do in this season as he takes you through the refining fire of purification.
Just as he did King David. David grabbed the skirt of Saul and he could have killed him but he recognized that his own personal destiny was tied to maintaining his own personal self respect and integrity as a leader of God.
In this season, God is revealing the hearts of his people; especially his seers and his prophets.
Many will be called to walk in a spirit of humility, respect, honor and integrity in this season as God deals with those who are walking in the Saul spirit.
Don’t run from the process because like David, God shall reward both your faithfulness and your integrity in this season; as Christ is being glorified in your life!

As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
