When There Is No Resolve
When there is no resolve in a relationship, then blame will begin to speak to the one who feels unresolved until resentment begins to set in and then bitterness will try to lay a foundation for the one who is hurt—rejection will then take hold and will try to build walls of defense where the one who becomes rejected is isolated (no way in or no way out) from others. Cut off from God and everyone else.
Then all of a sudden the rejected one says someone has to pay for this and revenge takes over and begins to set up scenarios for others, it will lay snares for others while destroying one’s self always looking to get even with the one that think started this in the first place.
No matter what!! This is a time where there must be resolve in relationships. Many times our trouble with others—have directly to do with how healthy our relationship with God is going. Is our relationship with God controlled? One sided? Emotionally charged?
Reconciliation with God is key to resolving issues with loved ones. Prayer is at it’s most effective when we are honest and forthright with each other. Good fellowship heals, mends, soothes the rough edges of a broken heart. It is time to get better, and refuse to remain where we are and recover from yesterday’s mistakes. Pointing fingers at others will never free us up when the main problem may lie within.
James 5:16 “Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be cured. The heartfelt supplication of a righteous man exerts a mighty influence.” (Weymouth New Translation)
James 4:1-3 “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.”
Amen.
